since i always find them fun.
Both of them have to do with events going different in the prequels, and one of them uses the expanded universe Ysalamir, creatures that repel the force

    1st what if:
Qui-qon Jinn survives the battle with maul and becomes Anakins new teacher. Would anakin still have turned to the dark side with a looser teacher? As a gray jedi, Qui Qon would probably not have forbidden a marriage, and under his training the rank of jedi master would have been seen as less significant by Anakin.

    2nd what if:
Somewhere between the first and second movies, the trade federation discovers the Ysalamir. This leads to the death of all the jedi present in the Geonosis arena during the second movie before Yoda arrives with the clone army. Would the trade federation have won the war? What would have happened to the sith order?

    Hmm.

All I can think to say is those two situations could branch off into any number of events. Somehow though, I can't shake the feeling that Qui Gon would be expelled from the Jedi Order in the first what-if.

My favourite is what if Anakin said no to killing Count Dooku on the Invisible Hand? Dooku most likely would of escaped with General Grevious resulting in a very pissed count breaking Sidious' influence over the CIS and actually trying to win the war. Certainly Palpatine wouldn't know where Grevious was, Obi-wan wouldn't have killed him and the CIS would remain a threat for much longer, maybe even being victorious. I maybe going a bit too far saying that the CIS would have completed the Ultimate Weapon and threatened Coruscant into surrender while Grevious leads an invasion of the jedi temple though.

1st what if: Probably. Anakin already had tinges of being at least a Dark Jedi, if not Sith, from the get go. He would not have been as angry, but the driving force behind much of Anakin's early years, and training, was fear. However, he probably would not have joined the Emperor.

2nd what if: First, many 'Jedi-killer' machines have been used outside of movie canon, with meh effect. It probably would've been disabled (plus the Jedi Assault was a surprise attack). However, towards the end of the war, the Jedi did very little besides simple troop commanding. After all, the Stormtroopers did a fair enough job with very little Jedi help.

I'd say that it wouldn't have made a difference, since the Juuzhan Vong would wipe them out anyway. :p

Not so sure about that. The seperatists had their hands on the death star plans and i assume Dooku knew about the Vong. The great thing about Palpatine's plan was, if it went wrong, he could just switch to his alterego and lead the seperatists to victory. Most superweapons have been constructed seperate from republic engineers, and it can be assumed they would still have been built. the biggest change would be that the imperial army would consist of droids, but with the crappy aim of stormtroopers compared to for an example droideka's and advanced battle droids, this would not have been a big disadvantage. With no republic to force him to come back, Thrawn could have conquered a lot of the outer rim.

If the seperatists won, i'd say their government would stand quite a fair chance against the Vong, with a number of death stars and star crushers
