2012 WTF?!

This topic will be solely about the year 2012 and what rummors are going around and whats going to happen durring that year. This will be civilized and have ABSOLUTLY NO SPAMMING!

Ok so there are a lot of rumors going around about the year of 2012. The First one I heard was that the world would really end by some kinda crazy virus just like in resident evil making people undead and zombies and such. The Seacond I heard was that the planets would align in a specific pattern so that celestial storms would destroy or ravage earth (and yes there are such things beleive it or not). The Third thing I heard was that the daughter of the devil would rise to power that year and begin her campaign to take over the world (crazy huh). The Fourth thing I heard was that modern society would colapse and a new golden age would rise up. The Fifth thing I have heard was that on December 21 on that year someone would do something so simple and so masive that the entire structure of our beleifs and everything we thought true would be compleatly shaken so hard that it would colapse and a new religion would rise made by humanity for humanity and surrounding humanity thus bringing the world together and all other religions would colapse like the ones before them. The Sixth thing I have heard was that (prepair your lol engines) aliens would reveil themselfs to humans and humanity would either reject them beleiving them to be inferior to humans or embrace them and we would then begin to spread across the infinate relms of space settling anywere inhabbitable.

Thats is all I have heard of so far and if you hear anything different talk about it and just talk about the year 2012 in anyway you want weither money or povery or land or our fates. Have fun! And don't forget NO SPAMMING!

We'll find out that the Protoss have been our secret guardians since our beginnings and they'll like us so much that we get to be zealots and DT and make our own galactic empire

I heard from someone that december 2012 is the end of the world and it kinda stick with me. I may be weiro but I like the idea ^_^
I chose Death by forces of gravity from several different planets alligning and reign of devil (heard of some prophecy about it but I think it's closer to 2060 or something)
One of the possible ends is by flood but many people are convinced that we'll notice it fast enough and react. I think it's quite possible that even if we DO notice we won't do anything until it's too late. We have greenhouse effect going on for years and while it's not like no one cares, not enough (or high enough) people care.
Oh and 2012 is when Poland gets to host Euro (football championship), so it's bound to bring something
Even if it's not the end of the world I hope something big will happen like in the starcraft option. Hell for me it may even be the rise of pokemon, but if nothing happens I'm gonna cut myself or something

 

If the world is destroyed by 2012 we will have had a lot of time to playSC2, so I don't mind

 

Very true all we have to do is hide in our nerd bubbles and play SC2 untill its over and nerds will rule the world!

 

We're also gonna find out that Jesus Christ was actually Fenix in human form...living to die and live again

Nope, as I stated before, we'll be LIVING SC3 ;D Real Battlecruiser FTW!!

 

What guarantee do we have there will even be a SC3? We surely won't know that by 2012, and it will also not matter very much, because we will be too busy with SC2 to even consider thinking about SC3. We will only know about its existence, if at all, in the very earliest of possiblities, in 2018. If Blizzard changes, that is. If Blizzard remains "when it's ready" style, only 2040

You mean you just figured that out?

I actually believe we'll have killed most of ourselves off by then, due to war, plague, and simple murder, and our society will be reduced to a feudal-esque system, close groups of 20-100 fighting over sources like clean water, non-irradiated ground, so on and so forth.

OR

Someone awakens a dragon who was sleeping in a cave off the London Underground, and it creates a plague of dragons which humans are completely unprepared to battle which decimates the world population as we know it until a daring survivor played by the dashing Christian Bale teams up with a band of intrepid dragon killers lead by Jean Claude Van Damm to kill the adult dragon who's spawning all the evil.

 

By 2012 the latter will most likely occur, but I'm sure that if you give it another 40-70 years, we will end up killing ourselves off, like you described.

sorry ijffdrie but that has already been taken by someone else. The idea is to have 3 super structures that are towers and are connected together. Its really complicated but the main thing is that robots will tend to nature and some naturalists will be able to live upon the surface. And they are already making AI that can make descisions upon its own. Really they are but I doubt they will have it by 2012 but you never know we make all of historys biggest leap in tech in about 5 years already why not do it again?

i remember watching a show about this. the miah have a calender thats 1,000 times more accurate than ours, and it loops every 5,000 years or so,and this miah calender cycle ends on december 21, 2012.

another more scientific show i watch, is an asteroid will come by this year or the next year and the Earths gravity could change the course of the asteroid and when it come in 2012 it will have a good chance of hitting us.
