8-bit discussion

well, first of all, i noticed that we always get hints of what is to come next. I'll fill you in with some examples

i wonder if the next arc was hinted towards to as well

okay, we know that the main story is based around the legend of the light warriors, this is very easy, but it appears that the legend of the light warriors isnt the only legend isnt the only legend affecting the story:
-there is the legend of the destined warrior, as told by dr. swordopolis
-there is the legend of the enlightened warrior, as told by bahamut
since both of these referr to fighter as their messiah, i think these are in fact the same legend

-Darco the dark god of darkness said that BM had a great destiny
-and apparently Thief and Red Mage are connected to their own totems: Dr. Tethrasomething and the Trickster god

 

The new class looks preview is a good one, but the other "hints of what's to come next" are just events from the game. Everyone who played it could've told you the rat's tail and who the fiends are by strip #1. (I think the class changed warriors looked like the "real Light warriors" from comic)

Btw. the last few strips brought to my attention that the Evil Eye monster looks BETTER in 8-bit than in all the later versions Oo

I didn't really understand the whole one eyed monster bit, but hey, whatev.

i just realized something; black belt could return


rememer that in the temple of fiends, Black Belt duplicated himself by being dumb, and one of his bodies was turned into stone

but isnt it possible that he could be ressurected?

 

Wouldn't WM have done it long ago if she could? Other than that it'd have to be accidently

2nd BB was stolen by BM and trown in a river to stop WM from healing him

 

oh also funny; remember Kari? she actually died in an all-out battle, and not out of her own incompetence or weird stuff

According to the game

Warriors of Light return to the chaos shrine (where the Thief&co are now), where they are tranported back into the past (2000years was it?) and fight Garland who became Chaos. There's a time loop story to it if you're interested

HOWEVER, I remember reading that 8-bit theater will end differently and seeing as we have the dark warriors in the temple that's probably the case.

Don't forget the Fighter-related prophecies and BM being a living nexus of power. These have to somehow come into play by the end

i got it, i think i know their plot(well, maybe sort of near it):

black mage becomes chaos
white mage becomes the 4th warrior of light
Fighter brags so much against the space-time continuüm that it starts to believe he is some kind of destined warrior
