Ahoy! I've just arrived.

Hello, let me introduce myself..

I'm a gamer / voice actor / video editor / writer. I consider myself to be a hardcore gamer, I've been playing since as early as I can remember. As a fan of Starcraft, I was kind of let down by some of the new Protoss unit voice overs.. so I recorded some of my own a couple days ago! yay, we got someone of the forum with capacabilities.

Few notes about the protoss voices though:
en taro adun and en taro tassadar mean different things, not to be combined. and the its time we annihialate the zerg is hard to hear. Overall pretty good though

These are excellent

Can I ask what filtering you apply to your voice in these sound clips? Is it just a time-reversed reverb? Am I hearing a chorus effect in there as well? A reduction in playback speed?

 

i demand that you do the AAAAWWWWwwww yeh thats the stuff when you do terran marine FTW!!!!!

 

I only use 4 effects. And 1 of them isn't even for making it sound Protoss (Just for increasing bass and volume on the track).

1 "Broadcasting Effect" <- Tube-Modeled Compressor: Custom effect for giving recorded voice more detail and bass.

2 "Protoss 1" <- Custom Delay/Echo effect.

3 "Protoss 2" <- Custom Modulation/Delay effect.

4 "Deepen 2" <- Time and Pitch down -5. (For a slightly deeper sound).

To be honest I was a tad skeptical when you referred to yourself as a voice actor, but boy did that video show me! If you're still planning on recording more quotations, here's a link with all of the quotations from StarCraft: Brood War. Give us some more great voice acting!

 

So I just listen to your voice overs. Damn good man, damn good. I'm greatly impressed, and it's hard to impress me. Great job man really, I'm ready for you to release your Terran voice overs.
