Amsterdam

Ok people
It's been a while since I started a thread, so I thought I'd start out small and work my way up. I have this coming week off from class and I am going to be going to Amsterdam for Queen's Day. Anybody know anything cool to see or do (besides the obvious)? I'll be there probably the day before, the day of, and the day after Queen's Day. Museums? Cheap dining places that rule?

Also, the activities that you may or may not list have to be ones that I'll be able to do in a...er....diminished mental capacity let's say...

i dont think we actually have cool museums in Amsterdam, but the inner city is always fun to look at, on queens day there are a lot of little stands around, expecially in the main streets, dont drive on that day, using the bike is far more efficient, and all tourists do it, ill ask my dad for some more places

btw, post a pic of yourself, so i recognize you if i happen to see you, (about 10% chaNCE)

 

Ok, I am leaving tomorrow and I'm in the library now because I have a take home exam about which I have no idea what I am going to write to do before I leave, but I am surfing the forums nonetheless

i havent read samir;s link yet but i asked around, and there are some good museums: the Van Gogh museum, the Rembrandt museum and the Cobra museum, also boat tours are very popular.

i live in amsterdam, so i have trouble feeling and imagining to look from the point of a tourist

 

I suggest to ijffdrie to be the touristic guide for you

only hasj is legal and you cant smoke it on street
