Asia cock fights makes its way to B.C

Well in asia you hear about cock fights, and you win money from the fight if your cock wins. Usually the cocks are equppied with weapons such at pointy sticks (Sharp metal sticks). Now the cock fights start in BC, the fights include weapons that are more deadly (Blades, knives, and etc.), the Cocks are also stimmed with some sort of drug that makes them more aggressive. The drug can be put into the food the cock eats as well.

I have no idea how people can get entertained from it but I say theres enough of that crap in asia, and it should be stopped.

Since I don't see much point here other then "cockfight = bad", we may as well make it a debate. You know, for a bit of fun. That means no, "Your stupid and wrong" posts. You wouldn't say something as such in a judged debate, would you? You school kids may also want to pay attention, someone may be doing your work for you!

Why Cockfights should be legal. A debate:
A cockfight involves taking roosters (two, sometimes more), and having them fight until only one is left standing. The first question we should ask ourselves is...why? What's the point of the fight? I'll tell you.

The biggest reason is, put simply, fascination. Why do we look when we see a grisly car wreck? Why do we laugh when a man steps on a rake and is hit square in the forehead? Why did the Romans watch the gladiators, the French watch the guillotine, the townsfolk of the old west watch the public hanging? The answer is simple. People find death and injury fascinating. Maybe seeing someone suffer makes people feel better, putting things in perspective. Maybe it helps cure the envy in our hearts to see someone else in more pain then we. Alas, I cannot say more then we find it…fascinating.

The second reason is more…straight forward. Gambling. People will bet on almost anything, but betting on a fight to the death is different from a football game. The rooster must fight for his very life, and as such, money lost or won takes on a certain higher…weight. There is no doubt the animal gives his all, as in a mere game. With that uncertainty gone, every game is important.

The third reason is that it brings people together. In this day and age where we can live with people without every seeing them, having that sense of community makes people feel closer together. It allows people, rich or poor, doctor or blue collar, to come and mingle. It gives them something in common, which can’t be taken for granted anymore.

But what of the Rooster? Surely it has a right not to suffer? Perhaps, but how many people eat chicken? Do you believe those birds have a fun time being raised to be eaten? One death is quick, one slightly prolonged. There isn’t really that much difference.

Well, that was fun. I don't feel like writing a paper on why cock fights should be illegal (and it wouldn't be much of a debate if I did!), so I ask someone else step up to the plate.

 

Well the cocks are trained, but in actual matches they have weapons, most of the cocks are lucky and survived usually miss an eye or w/e. Still it should be illigal since it is kinda cruel, although this is only an opinion not eveyone will go with it.

 

Theres worse things in asia than cock fights. Search ''Chinese fur factories animal abuse'' Something along them lines, on Youtube and you will see. I havn't watched the videos cuz that kinda stuff gets me angry knowing that someone wouldn't even do the moral thing; kill the animal, before fucking skinning it alive to then gut it later.

 

Indeed. I unno but people say fresh meat = yummy meat. I don't really see the difference, but people like steam the animals alive (Consider that as Fresh meat). they leave the animal in a cage and then you choose which one gets cooked... alive :upset:

I get so mad from watching those things it just makes me wanna torture those people back 10x more. If you know about dog meat :upset: you should see what people do to other people's dogs just to get meat. They ride by with a (Scooter car kinda thing) toss a rope around the dogs neck and go full blast killing the dog slowly thats only one, the way they ship dogs are also extremely cruel. The people who kidnapped other peoples dogs toss them in a black garbage bag and toss them down a cliff, or shove the bag in a bucket/huge metal bucket killing it

They also toss the dog down in cages, but the dogs don't die they have broken bones, bruises, and all sort of crap and they are still alive. After that they aren't even killed fast, they are cooked alive once again. It sickens me how people can do that and like... serve it. the people who buy it also knows what happens.

Thinking about it wants to make me cry, but you should see how the animals stare at you from the cages like please free me don't pick me. :upset:

 

Lol if I become rich one day I'll stop the abuse from happening. To pay darkone to assinate them of course, then he can drink them alive.

I just finished watching the Peta video.... I hate those people. I didn't wanna see that

 

I dont really care about cockfghting so much when all over the world (think africa) human beings will kill each other in just as fucked up ways. I was taught to respect animals, but at the same time I acknowledge that killing shit and self destructive behavior is human nature. and personally, i think some of PETA's member's must be fucking stupid. (puring paint on people for wearing fur for example)

 

Easy to say, but these aren't single cases, this happens worldwide and since long. I guess our only hope is 2012
