It seems the patch will being coming with the editor which sounds BA.

The mac version of the beta should be released next week sometime.

"As for balance changes in the patch, I'm told that Marauders will be buffed a bit following the "over-nerf" they received in Patch 8, according to lead designer Dustin Browder."

    Woot :D

Does this mean all or only select Beta users will have the editor?

According to other news sources Blizzard is planning a major patch later in this week (possibly today or tomorrow) which will include the third database reset in as many weeks, the new Galaxy Editor which allows users to create custom content (but functionality for Battle.net Cloud or Marketplace will not be included), and will also include support for a Macintosh beta client.

There is also some discussion about partially removing the nerf Marauder's received in the form of a 100/100 upgrade requirement for Concussive Grenades.

The biggest news, of course, is the inclusion of the map editor in the upcoming patch.

I think the biggest news is FINALLY A MAC BETA!!! And with regards to the map editor, what with people having to sell them, it seems like it would completely destroy the incentive to mod.

Omg!!! Ahh the good ol days of warcraft 3 map custom maps, but now Starcraft 2 style!!! Man I'm excited, I made tons of those crazy hero killing army of 500 ghouls and samurais maps =D. I just hope they do something about the reapers though, they're almost useless in late game unless your opponent isn't dumb enough to leave the mineral field undefended.

    or DotA.

It's a race now for who makes the games first now..

If I make a DotA right when the map editor comes out and finish it with a team in two weeks, you could easily make tons of cash when you can actually sell it with their system.

Expect a lot of DotA clones all trying to be "the one".

Agreed. Mac beta would be big news. To lots of people if it actually came out next week.

Quoted from the article linked in the website's news page. Sure the map editor is nice. Very nice. I'm a little surprised it'll be released for beta. But I'm sure Blizzard know what they're doing. Sure that's nice but the Mac beta to be is the star of that news article.

A star that not many people on these forums like talking about. That that's cool by me :).
