Beta, Questions? Concerns?

hopefully you all are aware that all the beta keys given out at Blizzcon were indeed Starcraft 2 Beta keys.

does this mean there wont be a open beta? or that we wont be able to get into the beta? And does this mean that the beta will be soon?

maybe more news about the beta tommarow?

yes, i see it, i remember reading about it now, but he really should have bolded it to make it more noticeable, and having a more effect on my mind.

another question, how do you get the ability to post in the live blog? im already registered right now.

 

it just takes some times. Sometimes they dont even answer your question.

But they are doing a good job.

 

what i notice is that the system likes to eat my questions, so i have to copy/paste and resend my question(s) til it appears for them to answer.

ah!, so thats it lol, i see(im not used to live blogs at all). well i guess ill just post my question twice, and if they still dont answer it, ill just say that its an lost cause. and move onto my next question.

 

i tried to ask them about the nighthawk. They never answered my nighthawk questions.

my question was:
"Can the nighthawk detect invisible unit?"
"If not, then the terrans dont have a mobile detector, what can you comment on this"

they never answered them

 

well, Blizzard said that the Nomad was still a detector, and so far all i know about it is that it got its name changed twice, and a model change, i tried to ask if it had any new abilities. but they didnt answered so im just going to say that its abilities are the same as when it was called the Nomad/Vulkan.

 

Well in screenshots, you can see terrrans bringing in like..3 to 5 nighthawks...too much mobile detection dont u think??

edit: actually now that i think about it its not so bad...i mean in starcraft1 zerg player used to bring it 5 overlords for detection.

 

The Nighthawk can lay Spidermines, Turrets and Targeting Drones.
Targeting Drones can paint one target at a time, and the target takes 50% more damage from all attacks.

Turrets and Spidermines are same as before.

but there was a high risk using overlords in the combat in early game, but i don't think its too much and they're probably there for the support abilities

Lots of sensible questions were ignored and I don't know why. I thought the whole point of the feed was to Q&A.

 

actually as far as i could tell, and trace it back to, the Targeting Drone was started as a rumor, and was never confirmed as an ability. this rumor was the main reason why i wanted to know the Nighthawk abilities to see if it was true or not.

 

I don't remember where, but I've seen a low-resolution picture of it. I am not sure if it was legit though, but I think it exists.

 

i think they couldnt really answer the question, tho they played the game, they were most likely focusing on just the general improvements of the races, and will focus more on stats and abilities tomorrow / today / yesterday(for whatever timezone your in).

but they let in some questions that they had already answered sort of as "ok you really sure?" "yes i'm really sure" "really, really?" "really really really..." thing, that got a bit annoying but it was good coverage.
