Starring dr. Chocobo I've been "thinking" and came to conclusion that restaurants/fastfoods should promote fruit juices more. They cost no less then soda, are way healthier (not that anyone cares), taste just as good if not better and most importantly - don't make you feel full as much as soda does. Which means you're more likely to order more food = pay them more munies. It's pure profit, why didn't anyone think of it before is beyond me.
Your point? Addiction doesn't really matter in this case. You just have drink with your food and with juice you're more likely to eat more
Most people that do buy fruit drinks or non-carbonated drinks at fast foods are kids or parents buying it for thier kids. Considering that not many older people buy fruit drinks and that kids are only given so much to eat, they likely wont make that much off of it. It costs money to promote items, so unless they know it'll give them more profit than expense, they wont do it, which fruit drinks arent that popular at fast food places since it's not as filling as soda. Also, with said addiction, people will tend to buy more soda than they would juice, so they could possibly make more in food sales, but they would lose sales in soda, which they dont want as they have contracts with the soda companies(Coke or Pepsi most likely). EDIT: Also, the contracts usually prohibit fast food places from selling any non-company sodas: the place I work at cant sell Coke soda products, so unless Pepsi started making fruit drinks, we cant sell them.
Just Open your own business, Health food bar, fresh fruit juice and veggie juice.. Its on the up and up...
Oh c'mon veggie juice is overkill. I didn't really consider health here, just that it could be used as a point in advertising
Provided they're promoting fruit juice, and not just fruit drink, then yes. And yes, there is a HUGE difference between the two.
Tell me about it. Drink is basically fruit-flavored piss. It's hard to find actual juice in shops nowadays :/
Quoted for truth. As for finding good juices, I find the Golden Circle ones are pretty good. Sure, they're not like freshly juiced juices, but they're heaps nice, and don't cost a butt-load. Apart from that, you're probably just best off juicing your own. Mmmm....
Don't recall the Golden Circle brand. Maybe, just maybe I don't have the same brands here as Australia... And making my own is work. After I buy the fruits. So why should I buy stuff and then work inseatd of only doing one thing?
It's Australian made and owned and all that, which is probably why it's so good, but it's definitely a multinational company. Start importing it. As for juicing your own... It's worth it. That's all I can say. Worth it. Seriously, you're buying your fruit anyway, and I assume most people have some type of juicer, blender, automated potato masher or forehead they can use for juicing, and it's not like it's such a big hassle to juice some fruit... Worth it.
