I have watched the video a few times now, it seems like the Black Hole might only affect Air units.
The announce says how it is very dangerous to air units, in particular.

If Black Hole only hits air units, is it still so strong? I guess the mothership still gets the Time Bomb and Planet Cracker....

Theoritically, it should affect ground units as well.
After watching the videos I think the same as what you've said, it'll have a stronger affect on air units than ground.

I think its an attack that hangs in the air, because if ground units get damaged the ground itself must get sucked in as wel (and I know nukes don't make craters etc, but I don't think they shouldn't let a black hole only suck up units and buildings... looks stupid.)

when do those battlecruisers "die" cause it seems the moment the blackhole opens the stop firing, and there models get warped, which seems to show that the moment there sucked in the count as dead, and theres nothing you can do to save them.

No, when they hit the center. I think the black hole just pulls them out of range because one still fired his yamato... can't do that when you're dead.

They might end up in a barren dimension in which they are plotting their revenge on the Protoss, and developing their own super-weapons. They shall be called: The Sucked!

And I believe that the black hole is a very scary sight, but we could contemplate that it's actually higher up than you thing so that only the ships are just within its range, while the ground is safe.

technically you shoudnt be able to see a blackhole, just waht it does to gravity and so forth.
but taht woudnt look as cool as the warp drive looking thing

First off, a block hole would end the game no matter how small it is for everyones information.
Second, a black hole that does not pull friendly ships in are quite weird, i've never seen George Clooney make a black hole that didn't suck him in.
Third, Terran shouldn't call their revenge The Sucker!, but The suckers get sucked!.
Fourth, if it IS anti-air only, it is no use, because everyone will know "oh, he is protoss" and will start only making ground units, which makes it absolutely useless, meaning in my opinion, NOT only anti-air.
Fifth, the Mother ship itself will not be a rush method, as it´s said in the demo-movie, it will cost a tremendous amount of resources (which again effects the thought of it not being anti-air only), making it a perfect last stand move. Just let it stay in your base for when you go nuke the enemy so when they come to you, you still have that as defense, making you more likely to be able to get their base down first.
Sixth and last, it may seem as it has a lot of HP, but we can't tell that yet, I saw another post somewhere about it having 850 hp and 350 shield-points, well. what if a marine suddenly does 700 points of dmg instead of the normal 6(+3), just as an example.

^ Your opinions for nr. 4 are heavily biased on what you expect people to do when playing. Nr. 3 makes no sense whatsoever. I agree with you for the rest of your post, though.

If your enemy followed the strategy you said in #4, the Mothership could just activate Planet Cracker and waltz through the enemy base. Boom.

Dude... It is just a game... Just a game... ::)

In fact, there is no evidence that black holes even exist... The scientists just predicted there is such a thing from light (photos) that they captured few millions year back... No one knows what will happen when something fall into blackhole...Everything is just plain theories...

However, I do agree to the fact that, the black hole should also suck in the allies nearby, but who knows? You can't tell that by watching the gameplay demo, coz there are no allies nearby, just bunch of battlecruisers and dropship.

If allied units can fall into the blackhole then it would be difficult to use. lets hope it won't suck the mothership itself in.

Actually, thats untrue. While they haven't been seen its already certain that they exist. They even know what happens if something gets sucked in.

While its not always the best source its quite plausible in this case, so enjoy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_hole

Hehe, it doesn't really matter what happens in a black hole.
to reply on the "third" thing i talked about eariler i will now quote:

and #4, yes it is based heavily on what other people think, but as a gamer I am, I know that i ain't the only out there using exactly the same tactics and thinking (almost) exactly as I do.

The black hole could be made as a last resort from an invasion or something like that in a tactic. my opinion of cause =)

I don't want to sound cruel or mean, but I actually have never met someone who does.

It's kinda complicated, and I am quite lazy to go through the wiki :p.

Well, from what I know, the black hole is actually not a "hole", it is just a extremely high density planet like thing, that has the gravity force so high that even light will be sucked into the black hole. So, it is clear that, it is impossible to detect a black hole since it doesn't emit/ reflect light wave. We need light to see "something".

So how they come out with this theory? They observe some strange incident where, if black hole exists the light wave emitted by the neigbouring star will be bent. Moreover, they believe black hole will emit some x-ray like wave. As a result, they come out with this the black hole theory. So no one has seen the actual black hole itself, no one knows what "actually" happen when someone falls inside. Will he be dissembled right away? Will he travel back in time? Will he come out from another part of the universe? No one knows. Just wanna point out that, these are all theories...

I don't think anyone would be so lame to cast it right beside the mothership :p :p If it won't such in the allies, it's overpowered IMO.

That's an interesting question... But then the old Zerg infestation attack didn't hit allied ships... thinking the big ole' Devourers from Brood War here...

If the black hole IS just Anti-Air, there's the question of whether "quarter logic" makes it over powered or not.

Quarter Logic says, only some units are Aerial, for both teams.

If half your enemies' units are Air (which is exaggerating, but for an example), then an attack that only hits Air units, is only HALF as powerful as an attack that hits any unit. (Like a Rocket Turret for the Terrans, which only strikes Air units, or an air-to-air unit like a Corsair)

In truth it's LESS than half. Because you're not REQUIRED to use air units at any time - you could just stick to ground units - then maybe half the time your opponent is playing all ground, and half the time he's playing air.

So, an anti-air only unit is really about one QUARTER power.

Which is why you never make a big fleet of anti-air Valkyries unless you've already seen the enemy's going to the air.
There's a strong chance your opponent won't be using air units... and even if he is, then the anti-air units can only fight half your enemy's units. What about your opponent's Marines or Dragoons or Hydralisks? They can attack your anti-air without any retaliation.

SO. An attack that is only Anti-Air, is - by quarter-logic - considerably weaker than an attack that can just hit anything.
If the Black Hole IS only Anti-Air... is it still cheap that it doesn't impact your AIR units?

It doesn't impact either player's ground units. Your other air units are the only protected element.
And that's only half your army, again.

So, by quarter logic, you only get one-quarter the advantage from your own air units being immune to Black Hole.

... combined with the "Single Mothership Only" rule...
my initial feeling is "No, it's not cheap to have enemy units only hit. It seems okay to me."

But then we didn't get to see if any friendly units actually WOULD get sucked in.
So I guess we find out later =P
