Blizzard announced today that BlizzCon tickets will go on sale starting August 11th on BlizzCon.com for $100 USD each. They also announced some exciting news as far as video game interest in the United States goes in that DirecTV will be offering pay per view service of the event to subscribers. It seems Blizzard is moving up the food chain in event coverage. "The pay per view event will deliver a minimum of eight hours of LIVE HD coverage from the show floor on each day of the convention, including exclusive interviews, demos, and more." As expected, demos of all the upcoming titles will be available, possibly (and probably) including a demo of Diablo 3 of which we had only a brief glimpse of at WWI. How exactly is the ticket raffle supposed to work then? Are you planning on acompaning the people who get tickets?
Of those who opted in, 1500 are chosen. Each of those 1500 are offered the chance to buy 2 tickets. If and when you buy your ticket(s), your order and info will be placed on the database and ready for will-call just like the tickets bought earlier this month.
