Body Mass Index, is a pile off shit. mine is apparently 32 which is extremely obese.but im not extremely obese. i can run a mile in like 8 or so minutes, and i bench around like 205 max. so... i'm not fat, meaty is more a word to desribe me, sure i have a little bit of a gut .... but what ever .. most of its muscle. any more accurate ways of telling how healthy you are?
24 here, 12% fat IMC doesn't mean much really. Some really strong people I know fall under "morbidly obese" within that scale. Muscle weighs much more than fat. You should take an exam to see how much fat you have, that is what really counts in terms of obesity. Now, you can have a lot of fat but not too much muscle. Some measurements would be useful, you could check later what are the average measurements, etc. If you can't find any I could help you, just PM. hope that helps
the last time i had a machine to check how fat i have it was around 4%. which doesnt make sence because i know i only exercise the average amount you are suppose to each day.
It's like weight divided by height or something. Mines absurdly low for my height....I'm 6'1'', but only like 130 lbs (1.8m, 58.96kg).....But I also have a low fat content as well, and low BP, so I'm happy.
