Does anyone here spend time in the gym? Specifically bodybuilding? Im doing a 3 day split at the moment, looking to go 5 but not enough food at the moment. Will start a 5 day maybe when College rolls around, I hope I have enough time for it as well.
I'm not a bodybuilder as in training to look like a huge (unnatural) steroid buffed guy, but I do work out 4 times a week. In fact I'm on my way to the gym in 10 minutes. How long have you been training for? If you just started I don't recommend going 5 days a week, for one you'll need to be extremely motivated to actually go to the gym five times a week. Second as being a student myself I know how unpredictable our weeks are and you'll often have to choose between the gym and a social activity / lecture etc. That's why I work out at 7 in the morning, I have no other obligation at that time. The only problem with training that early is that I have to limit myself with the beers, going to parties etc. I aim for at least 6 hours sleep each night, and I get up at 6. Like you said food is also quite problematic. It's extremely hard to continue to be strict on what you eat and when you eat it, again it's even harder because we're students. What are your experiences?
Been doing it for about 2-3 years or so, took a very long break due to out of state job, lost a LOT of my gains sadly. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle for me, I sacrifice anything for it, aside from my gf. The only problem with training 5 days a week for me is the food like i said before, I usually hit the gym around midnight. Its empty, I like it that way. I recently started new diet/training I gave up powerlifting for bodybuilding. I used to weigh in at all time low weight of 145 and deep squat 355+.(best lift) bench was at 210 Decided to put all that aside and start bodybuilding. So far so good, making great gains, visually and at the gym. Only having problems with eating enough eh =x
Are you trying to get everything your body needs out of food or do you use supplements? For me the working out part goes fine, it's just the food that's so hard to follow consequently. An hour ago (10am) I had 125gr of tuna with 300gr of white beans - it's disgusting.
Exactly opposite mindset of a bodybuilder. And I take Whey once in a while, I try to get it all from food, but when I have nothing to eat I just make myself a fatty shake
Im taking out legs for a while as they are massive 25 inches relaxed m: back chest w: biceps shoulders forearms F triceps chest calves Going to be doing this to kick start myself for about 4-8 months then I'll throw in the other big 3 and go from there Not doing cardio as Im bulking up a bit, cutting is overrated in my opinion, I'll do that in 2 years lol
