Just got into the beta last night and dled it... Been patching, got to ...10... or something. I get the message 'your computer may be behind a firewall' and it stops my dl... I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall, like someone has uploaded the patch somewhere, but I don't know... I read about how it bugged out, but I thought they fixed that already?
It patched all the way up until this... so I don't think that's it. I also had them disabled, still that problem.
I had the same problem with the patcher. I just had to close the program each time I got a 'firewall' message then reopen it after a few seconds (you have to wait otherwise you ger another error that blizzard downloader is already running) Basically, it downloads a little bit each time and after many frustrating hours I was able to get the whole patch. I know it's not the best solution, but it worked for me.
had same issue, it doesnt stop the dl, just makes it go really slow. Even with my firewall off, I was having this issue, so it could be your router causing the problem. Just let it dl slowly for a few hours or so and it'll finish the install
Like Eon said, the download doesn't stop when you get this message. If you can just leave it running for the night or when you're out somewhere and it'll be done in few hours
I think I had the same problem. Got the game last night, everything worked fine, then it stopped downloading the patches like 10 or so bars in. I know it downloaded some of the patch because it created the "updates" folder that had files in it. So I left it on overnight and the bar did not even move one bar. I was thinking it had to do something with my router or proxy settings, but right now I have no idea what to do other then download the patches separate from the actual blizzard downloader. ps: all firewalls are disabled.
