So far, 3/4 of my losses have been to internet disconnects, and I'm now in the 2v2 copper league because of so many losses due to d/cs.

I don't have any connection issues while on the internet or playing other game that use the internet, so I can't figure out why I keep losing it when trying to play SC2...

Is there some way to see if my internet just cant handle the information to the game? Sometimes I crash within the first 2 minutes, other times I have a good army about to crush the opponent and I disconnect.

I finally get into the beta, and I cant even enjoy the game. Instead I'm just constantly hoping I can win before another d/c hits. :(

Using my college's wireless connection and have a constant 'excellent' signal strength connection.

have you ttied any other online game like WC3 or SC1 or WoW or another? To see if it's your net can't handle online gaming? Another Blizzard game would be ideal to test though cause it would be Bizzard's battle.net servers you are testing.

I never had a problem with SC1, and I play an MMO that had 3-D modeling( that isn't even compatable with my graphics chipset but still runs fine normally) and that has never crashed my internet.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with SC2, since I don't have problems for hours with staying connected, but when I play SC2 for 10-20 min, my internet d/cs and SC2 stops responding.

I don't think it's my laptop since my fps stays pretty constant and high enough to play effectively. But because of this strange issue, I've placed very low in both 1v1 and 2v2 ladders, bronze1v1 and copper2v2. On the 1v1, all my loses are from d/cs and I've won all my connected games.

So, for right now I'm giving up, and hope that it will be a different story when Im home over the summer.

Well it could be the SC2 servers. As they are still in beta and they are still testing to best handle the load of players retail will have. Hope it works for you get home. But from your post I see no logical explanation for your SC2 symptoms.

I'm thinking it might be the router or maybe an issue with my laptop's wireless, as there have been a few times today where I just randomly lose connection for a few seconds.

I'm just hoping the issue resolves itself, because even on low graphics, the game is still a lot of fun to play.

Agreed. Even a loss in SC2 is really fun. Hope your wireless works soon for you :).

a lot of college connections have some kind of a proxy server, i wonder if that could be causing issues. I know playing DotA at my college used to be really unstable.

Lucky, this is the last week of school, so hopefully it'll work properly while at home. If it does, I'll have the summer to play(between summer class and work ofc)
