Cartoon versions of regular movies and shows.

More and more series and shows are being converted into shows for little kids in a cartoon form.

Is this a good or a bad thing? I personally think that most of these shows have a lot of potential, but they always turn out to suck in the end.

And then I have not even mentioned the cartoon based on Jacky Chan yet. I looked at it because I wanted to know what it was about, since Chan is quite a good actor. But it was about demons coming from other dimensions?!? What? They are just exploiting the names of famous shows and people to make some quick cash imo.

Clone wars was just horrible in my opinion, they just took as much as they could from star wars, multiplied it by a thousand and let it explode

It's on nickelodeon like, every day. And the clone wars is absolutely sickening. I thought they would tell more about how anakin became evil and stuff, but there is not even a trace of that in most episodes. They promised something, but they did nothing with it.

And his apprentice is superlame. And R3. .... The battledroids are kinda funny, though. But if corny humour must save a show...

 

I've seen jackie chan adventures when it was still on kids wb. at first i enjoyed it when it was just about kung fu and thieves, but yeah they decided to bring in demons and that just destroyed the whole show.

 

Yeah it's pretty dumb. To add on to the list, cartoon versions of some games are horrible as well.

Hmm, I am a huge fan of the Zelda series. Link is one of my favourite game characters of all time. He doesn't say much, but he has personality. Especially since the wind waker, where he actually cared about someone he was saving: his sister.

I am affraid that the cartoon will be bad. The ratings are good, but I want to know one thing before I watch it: does Link say anything?

Wasn't there a Zelda cartoon back in the 80s? It was so annoying with Link always yelling "Scuuuzzze me princess!" about every 4 minutes. Plus Zelda was always rescueing Link but when Link turns into a ghost for one episode, Zelda can't do a thing. No consistency!

Crap! I hate it when people do this. You just destroyed my feelings for my favourite gaming series of all time! Oh man..... Seriously. You just destroyed my entire week. I will be pissed of about this for days man. Please read other posts before you reply... Uugh.... So senseless...

I do not care anymore now I have seen it. I am not angry at you, just suprised that you do not seem to know what a spoiler is. I am angry at the people who came up with that freaking cartoon. This kinda destroyed my trust in the cartoon industry.

 

Sorry about that. I wasn't thinking until you read it that maybe I shouldn't of said that. Yeah it can be horror, but that's just scratching the surface. There's also the Sonic the Hedgehog show, there were two that came out at the same time but the one that has the ostridge in it is the one that really sucks. Plus we have the Super Mario Super Show. Which I actually own the all the episodes.

 

1. Out of all videogames converted into cartoons*, the best transition was probably Earthworm Jim. Is considered to be pretty decent, containing the same surreal and absurd humor that the game liked. They even got Dan Castellaneta, who voiced Homer and many other Simpsons character, to voice Jim
2. There are 2 Clone Wars tv shows, a CGI one, and a Animated one. The Animated one was considered good, perhaps better than the lackluster movies. The CGI one brought in Lucas and added in Anakin's apprentice, and is horrible.

*When I say that, I mean western animation only, and Sonic is a special case and is also excluded. Japan handles animation differently than the west does, and is marginally more likely to make a decent game to tv conversion.

Best movies to games are probably Goldeneye and Spiderman 2.

 

My favorite anime to cartoon is Tales of Phantasia, that's on my list of good stuff. I don't recall ever seeing Earth Worm Jim as a cartoon, maybe I should look into it.

I suggest never to play the game then. Peter sucks even more in the games, and all you have to do is keep bashing these enemies with the most crappy AI ever.

 

Don't forget the lame one liners.At least the first video game based on the movies that came out was full of one liners.

 

I'm referring to the console version, not the PC version. The console version is known not for its fighting elements, but because of it having excellent webswinging controls in a free roaming environment. No other Spiderman game was of remotely the same caliber.
