I've noticed that over the last year or two, nobody talks about Global Warming anymore. All the media sources and government speakers now call it "Climate Change". Are these two terms synonymous? And how should we differentiate "Climate Change" from the changes in our climate that have been happening for roughly 4.5 billion years?
The climate changes all the time. Fact. been happening for millions of years. But nature always brings it back into line. Sure our effect on the nature, ie all of the crap we pollute the world with, is only a drop in the ocean. But it's this little drop that screws with the delicate balance of nature. And there's global warming happening now. And 20 thousand years ago it was a global cool down. Ie the ice age. So warming up and cooling down of the Earth is normal. But the above screws with this. And it's up people who have to fix up our ways. or pay the bad price.
Climate Change is a more pc terms for Global warming. Its the non-commonly accepted term. So, yeah, same deal. Al Gore says it better than I do, but climate change is the fluctuation in our environment that we have directly contributed too which differ greatly from the otherwise expected norms. Thats my understanding.
That makes sense. But how do we know that what we've done has actually caused the earth to warm up? How can they prove the earth wouldn't be exactly the temperature it is if humans had never polluted, etc.?
