In my ongoing withdrawal from SC2 Beta, I tried to settle for playing some SCBW. I just can't do it. It sucks too badly. Graphics - not even a comparison. Commands / abilities - I play Terran, how do you scanner sweep an enemy base, if it's even possible? I had a toss tearing my force to **** and didn't even remember how to reveal them. Moving your forces - I built a nice army of tanks, goliaths, marines, and medics, and forgot you can only move 12 units at a time. How the HELL are you supposed to play like that? Get SC2 back online !!!!!:twitcy:
Haha Aurora, I love this picture ! It's true that even now when I try to play again with Brood War I wonder "how have I done to like this game ?" Sincerely !! SC2 is so easy to play. You can win a game easily. It is hard in Brood War because there are not a lot of helps. Yes, BW is from another time.
With the new game mechanics implemented, BW Zerg would own all. Scourge would be so ridiculously effective. The pathing in SC2 is just to good. ^^
No hating on SCBW! For its time, it's an amazing game. Everyone who considers themselves an rts gamer should play scbw >_> 1998 - no wonder the graphics don't compare. As for the gameplay, yes it's VERY nice that blizzard lets us move units in groups bigger than 12 now.... but once upon a time we had to use control groups to move our armies. ScII withdrawal? Yes, I completely understand... I'm going insane too but SCBW will always have a place in my heart.
