Well I was rereading Ender's Game the other day and I thought this would be an awesome video game. I mean seriously the battle-room itself would be amazing if that was what was all there was to the game. It does not have the same issue as the movie when it comes to either children actors or to the fact that 80% of the book is Ender thinking. When Ender thinks you could just have text and a voice over in a game. Aside from the battle room it would be cool to play the mind game in between battle-room missions. Just think how cool it would be controlling the fleets at command school! I mean it would be an incredibly versatile game. This would be especially good since the movie will probably will never be released due to the problem of securing like 25 talented children actors...... Anyways what do you guys think? Good idea? Bad idea? Ideas? Suggestions? Discuss.
Ender's Game...that was the one were Ender fought aliens when he believed it was a battle sumulation right? They had team battles with stun guns, and the first team to get all tier members stunned lost, and Ender became a leader for a team after proving to be a geneous, correct? It's been ages since I read the book, but I think that's what happened in it. Anyways, I think it would be a great strategy game. I always like a little strategy in sci-fi games.
I always thought that the battle school would be so crazy awesome! but i dont think it owuld be so easy, of course it could be made like a laser quest type game (real life) or just a flat out rts, fps game. And the battle simulation at command school would be 10000 times greater!. I think wut would make it the best though would be a game where u just think the commands and the computer acts based on your commands. (yeh i know its bassicly the army and what not) i mean imagine no more senseless clicking. Now it would just be all about the strategy. If not they could just make select areas and stuff like that and speak the commands. Ok now, alpha squadron is gonna move in towards the enemy line and draw fire. Then fall back a little drawing out the enemy from their shelter just a little bit, as Beta will follow up and provide support, while charlie and delta squad will come around the sides and flank the enemy. Except instead of micro and macro u would just think thisand respond to the battle conditions. And of course the individual units would act based upon their own accord, which would require some VERY good AI. probably sometime in the future somethign like this will come out... by the way, did u ever read all the books? imo they are the best books out their. They are a gold mine up philosophical ideas and concepts, especialy all the ramen and varsle talk. and the philotic connections! so great!

Nice, I would like to see how the game turns out. Ender's Game was a great book. I never knew they tried to make it into a move, I can't understand why they were unable to do so.
Yeah, same as above. I don't see how this whole thing could become a game. I mean, don't they always use just one weapon? What kind of FPS or squad game has one weapon?
