So every so often my game crashes and says my installation is corrupt. Annoying as hell, but not that big of a deal but now every time i try and start the mission where the lava keeps rising and falling the game crashes and i get that same error message. Has anybody else had this problem? I just want to play SC2, but blizzard is not making it easy on me...

Also, i have tried reinstalling the game and nothng has changed

Thanks in advance for anybody who can help me with this!!!

Post a Dxdiag and we'll start with software/drivers to rule out issues.

To run dxdiag=> Windows_logo_key+r, dxdiag. If you have 64-bit windows, click the button at the button that says "Run 64-bit DxDiag," Then save all the data by clicking "Save All Information..." zip/rar the text file and attach it to the post. Instructions on how to zip here. To create a rar file, first download and install winRAR then read this guide here.

Also, you can try running chkdsk to see if you have any file system errors:

First thing I want you can do after posting the dxdiag here(Click here to learn how to make/post a dxdiag), is to open a command prompt and run check disk. TO do that:
    1. Run CMD as administrator (follow instructions)

    2. Once CMD is open as an admin, type "chkdsk c:" and let it run. If errors are reported, run "chkdsk c: /f" and when it can't force 'all open handlers' closed, keep pressing 'y' until it presents you the option of running on boot. Once you know chkdsk will run on boot, restart the computer.

After that, run the StarCraft II repair tool again to see if it corrects any problems.

Make sure you post a dxdiag though, we want to make sure your drivers are all up-to-date!

    Anything from the chkdsk?

    Lots of missing/old drivers.

Newer BIOS that improves memory compatibility. If you do decide to flash your BIOS, make sure that after flashing, you enter the BIOS and reset your BIOS defaults. BIOS flashing may be risky but so long as you don't loose power during the flashing, it will be fine. You do this at your own risk.

Newest Realtek Sound drivers. (2 years newer. The one installed must be a Vista 64-bit driver. If anything, this may be the source of the crashing.

From your motherboard's download driver page for Win 7 64-bit, download the following:
    -Intel INF installation
    -Realtek LAN Driver
    -Intel SATA RAID/AHCI Driver
    -GIGABYTE SATA2 Driver

These drivers in particular should help speedup/improve your systems reliability.

    Missing Monitor driver.

You have the newest AMD Radeon video driver, but check this guide to installing these drivers to see if you followed the proper procedure.

I would personally recommend uninstall the AMD video driver (regardless of how you installed it), then installing the other drivers (the key one here is the chipset driver which contains the PCIe driver), then reinstalling the AMD video driver.

Install all of those drivers, give it a test. If it works out, please give a response saying that it worked out.. its nice to know when I succeed. If not, post another DXDiag and we'll go from there. Plenty of other things to try.

Hello guys. Hope you're all doing great. I was looking for info about this issue that happened to Joneseo7, as it has happened to me several times already. I found a fix on the internet but it doesn't seem to fix the problem permanently. I looked at the file that Joneseo7 uploaded and I noticed we have similar hardware, running on Win7 Ultimate 64 bit, Radeon HD video and Core 2 Quad CPUs. I ran the DxDiag app and I am attaching the results (google docs link cuz it wouldn't let me upload the .rar file, sorry about that).

TheXev, would you be so kind to check it out and share your comments, if any with me? I ran the chkdsk as an admin and showed no problems.

    Joneseo7, was your problem fixed?

    Thanks a lot guys!
