Hi,I seem to be lagging a lot and my cpu hitting spikes every few minutes at 100%.
    It`s a P4 3ghz processor.
    9800 gt 1gig vram
    2 gigs ram
I set all the cpu dependent options to low and even all the options to low.It seems to make no difference.
Anyone running a rig like this out there that is running the beta well.
My connection is fast cable and tested well.
    Thanks.

I'm running a system with less quality than yours so don't worry its not you.

    I have a:
    Pentium 4 3ghz
    ATI Radean 9550
    1.5 G Ram
    Cable High Speed

Blizzard just had a server crap out with all the patching and possibly all the new beta keys given out. I gave my game a break for about an hour and it seemed to be a lot less laggy. However, I've been playing 1v1 where as when it was really laggy for me I was trying some 3v3.

As i see maybe we have same problem... I have spikes when Zerg and Terran units are in the game... Even in the Fog Of War... And im waiting for some answers... For now im alittle suspicious in VGA card... Im using CPU 3.06GHZ, 2GB ram memory and Geforce 9800gt 1GB... Though my friend is having GF8600 and he has no problems with spikes, only with lag which i don't have anytime... Tomorrow ill try and swiching VGA's with him and if it works without spikes my guess will be: Problem With GF9800GT 1GB and SC2 in general for sure... If anyone have any bright ideas which don't include hardware error, plz report to us :)

Aren't P4's single core? That would be the biggest problem imo. Games these days are designed for 2 core systems.

Yeah and the Pentium 4's don't really compare to more modern processors, those cards would all work fine with a better processor, I think the processor is most likely bottlenecking the game o_O
