I just played a ~6 minute game where my opponent randomly just left. I looked at the replay to see why, and, lo and behold, I believe it was because he saw (through the fog of war) that I was countering him well. He was going for zealot sentry, didn't have any stalkers out, and I had a spire on the way. He never scouted my 2nd gas, lair, or spire, but at the very end in the last few seconds, he looked at my unexplored base then left. I understand this isn't enough for a ban since it is such a small thing, but perhaps he should be looked out for. I'm sure Blizzard can check the games of potential hackers and make an educated decision after they find more evidence, but what do you guys think?
On this exact day I played some games and was disconnected twice. For some reason one game resulted in a win with +25 points and one in which i lost but did not lose any points there was a problem with my bnet server today. That might be why he quit. I know it wasn't the internet connection because i couldb't access the match history and parts of the matchmaking lobby was glitched. That might be why the guy quit suddenly.
People drop all the time for various reasons. Maybe he just had to deal with something IRL. It could be seen as suspicious, or it could be seen as just unexplained. But if he isn't hacking he probably wouldn't appreciate you saying he is As a question, if he could see through the fog of war surely he would have been making the perfect counters to your build?
The guy MIGHT have been hacking, but it's too hard to tell. He only looked once and that is sort of fishy but he would be able to make more units in time to have countered your mutas if he were map hacking. He probably did just drop from the game or something. Was there a drop screen before he left? Or did he just randomly poof and then game over?
he just poofed, no lag out timer or anything. and yeah, I was probably just caught up with it right after the game, because that really doesn't mean much that he looked once at the end... he could very easily be a hacker who just isn't that good and is looking for free short wins, but hackers obviously don't want to be obvious so they will be careful with what they do look at. he could just as easily be a regular dude with some out of game problem, which is probably more likely
Could have been a messed up click on the minimap, I do it occasionally. All like Wtf? Why am I looking here?
Hacking on Blizzard's network is just plain stupid. they ban you for life. and in some cases, might just sue you lol. Like they did to some WoW players
