Weird. And it was addicting when I was ten and everybody at school had red/blue. Missingno cheat, all to level 100, and then bet the trading cards on who would win. Lol. Half the scool had a small gambling problem.
We just battled the cards directly. Ofc I was new and lost my charmander to a kadabra cause I got tricked.
Lol, the cards were officially banned at our school, since one of my classmates had his stolen. It was kinda done secretly. After school we would just hang around to play, though. I think I still have a whole box full of those cards somewhere. Most of them fake, obviously. Don't remember how and why, but in the last year of the hype some people had tons of fake cards, and were trading them for real ones. xD good times
the others where retards and didn't understand how to "play" with the cards... we threw them and competed on wich card that would end closest to the wall/furthest away, etc. I was around seven so I didn't know how to explain to the other kids how to play'em ^^
