I don't know about others, but the forum definately feels slower recently. I hoped the zerg release would bring back flocks of members, but it just seemed to cause a peak in activity that quickly died away.

Seriously, this picture shows something that you shouldn't ever see in a forum. None of the posts were spammy, I was just browsing through and wanted to make a few posts to pass the time.

Hopefully, when the move is finished, activity will begin to rise. This forum is where I spend my free time, and I would hate to see it die out after all the time me and others have put into it, and all the work the admin has done for it.

EDIT: srry about the low quality, but photoshop doesn't seem to like the pictures I edit with Paint.

It depends on when you post what you are saying.

Well I said that all people who will respond to the thread will get a candy. And still only 3 people showed up.

Done :) Now lets start counting the people....

EDIT: Btw the 2 seconds were relative to a distance of 2 meters away from very massive black hole.

Ok I visited it. And posted in it.

You would be hard pressed to get away from black hole of you are that close to it.

One thing I have noticed is that since the release of Zerg, a lot more new people have joined the forum. Definitely not all of them are doing this and I'm not meaning to pick on them or use them as a scapegoat, but it's evident that a fair few haven't and don't read the Forum Rules and don't read the rest of the topic before posting. A lot of the time, this slows down threads and cuts conversations short. Most of them are probably using the forums as a place for quick information or quick answers to their questions, which isn't wrong, but it's not what I think of the forums as. I tend to think of it as a place to actually talk and speculate about the games, and not as a place to hoard all the current information and answers to questions about StarCraft2. That said, there are still a lot of productive new members that have joined which I'm extremely happy about.
Another thing to mention is that a fair few people have left, are leaving or are deciding to leave. There have been a lot of people who I used to see around very often who I haven't come across in ages. I haven't seen don_bocci or BnechbReaker around in ages, and others who have announced that they've left, like headstock. He was a champion. Now, Tweak's said that he's leaving and GM_k has declared that he might leave in the not too distant future.
Also, it might not be that it's extremely slow now, but just that it's been overshadowed by the recent activity after the release of Zerg. We all know that there was a lot more activity with the arrival of Zerg so even a small reduction in the general average activity would be much more noticeable.
    And that's my two cents.

EDIT: Being two metres away from the event horizon isn't a good position to be in... :p Only light really has a chance to escape at that stage, and most of it will get sucked in from there anyway.

Not only light can escape from that distance. And no, most of the light wont get sucked into that, that theory bangs its head against the fundamental laws of quantum physics. Anyways...

If I am a new member, I make new thread, and 2 people respond, I am very likely to leave or disrespect the forum. People could try and discuss things more rather just spam space junk.

Well you are a new guy on the forums. You haven't given people time to warm up to you yet.

I hope they will warm up quickely then! :)
I wanted to introduce the Serious Business series but seeing 2-3 people responding to a thread that I was preparing for hours is more than disappointing.
