Hey guys its been a while! Well I decided it might be cool to have a topic going about these TV shows. The first time i heard of doctor who it was when my mother forced me to watch the old doctor who (4th doctor) with her. At first, i must admit, i found the show extremely cheesey and somewhat boring. Then just this year I began watching the new series with the 9th and 10th doctors and loved it. I was immediately hooked. Seeing as it is so hard to watch the shows when you do not have BBC as a channel i have had to resort to watching it via video hosting sites and checking out the seasons from the library. This is when i first came across Torchwood, which although it is not as good as the base series is pretty darn good. If you have not heard of doctor who or seen it before I would greatly recommend this series to anyone of almost any age (maybe not under 6 for doctor who and not under that age for Torchwood) While at times it can be over the top and the special effects/costuming can be a bit over ambitious the excellent acting by David Tennant (the Doctor) and Gwen (from Torchwood) can overcome these flaws most of the time. With Doctor Who i would suggest starting with season 1 although i believe it is not nearly as good as season 2 & 3 because the story developing between the Doctor and Rose is so compelling. Also make sure not to miss the Christmas specials because they usually are important whether they seem to be or not. A warning about Torchwood: it is significantly more violent than doctor who and infinitely more sexual but as long as your relatively mature about such things go for it. PS does anyone know if they are planning on doing a 3rd season for torchwood i need to know.... not really but it is kinda annoying not knowing if it will be continued PPS Its good to be back
The actor from Season 1 was much better than the current one I think. I don't even watch it now since they dropped Rose. They threw away the good actors and the good plots Very diasappointing
I liked the 9th doctor too but I think that David Tennant is a more interesting character oh well its not that important. I was very dissapointed when they got rid of Rose. Spoiler She's coming back midseason this year! The first episode of season 4 you get to see her again! *dances around* *sort of*
I've always respected the Fourth Docotr, despite not watching the show. I dunno why, but something about the guy makes you do it.
