Tree of life is changed to be a cooldown ability. Druids don't get to be in tree form all the time, even when healing. ^^

It's getting a visual update to look more "badass".
Man I'm going to miss that dance.

And my favourite classes, Prot Warrior and holy/disc priest suck in cat. But that's a good thing, cause then I need real skill and not plain lazy op'd ness to be good :).

And if this druid's tree was made really uber when you can use it then it'd be just like the warlocks ability where they have that massive badass demon transformation ability on a cooldown. Pretty cool I think.

the metamorphosis is getting a change too, some spells have a chance to reduce cooldown, so demo spec will likely be centered around those spells. It seems that demo will have shadow damage while destro has fire damage.

I'm unsure whether or not I like the Lock changes.

It's gonna make PvP really interesting, but it has the potential to utterly blow in PvE, especially seeing as how I PvE in Destro

Sometimes i pve in destro sometimes in demo, it doesn't really make a difference in needed stats, and tactics change isn't that hard, and i think ill pve a lot more in demo after cata. immolation aura multiple times a boss fight for epic damage

    That's what I'm worried about.

Demo doesn't really have a set rotation in PvE, whereas my Destro spec definitely does. And Demo (currently) isn't a critfest like Destro is, so my crit rating is pointless.

Well most classes don't really have a set rotation, at least in most specs. It's more of a priority queue.

i think Lock will be one of the classes that changes the most, especially with the new soul fire mechanic. you can get ridiculous fast life restoration(me even more since i got herba and alch) or resummon a demon instantly(free charge+stun from felguard in pvp?). using both curse(bane) of agony and curse of elements at the same time on pve should definately improve damage. succubus with a knockback effect. Imps with DoT's for destro. Also, Voidwalkers will be better tanks, but those are hardly useful.

Demo will be able to use spells a lot faster then destro, and with life tap getting a bonus from spellpower instead of spirit, that should work great. not to mention more metamorph damage, so your rotation(or queue) might start existing solely of spells that decrease the cooldown.

All classes have a best damage rotation. The one above being a nice one for a destro warlock. And by best I mean the one you can get the most damage. So the best damage rotation for a class is different for each player. So experiment to find what works best for you.

I dunno much about it cause my warlock alt is Aff. I know I'm one of the very few people who prefer the Aff tree the most on this class. And warlocks are getting a lot of changes in Cat. But not too much on the Aiff side from what I hear.

    Affliction rotation:

    Life Tap>Shadow Bolt>CoE if you're the only lock, otherwise CoA>Corruption>Unstable Affliction>Haunt>Spam Incinerate

Glyphs: Life Tap, Corruption, and whatever really.

EDIT: This is for PvP, but it'll do well in PvE if you have good gear and a good tank.

Well that htis how my lock worked in Aiff apart from the incinerate. My lock never uses fire spells. He yeyally goes like this:

COA->Haunt->Affliction->shadow bolt->haunt (also to refresh the affliction) -> then spam the haunt COA and SB when everI need to. Pretty easy and works well in raids. But solo it tends to steal aggro from my void walker a lot. Mind you solo, most mobs die before they even get a swing at me. Usually on the way to me as I like to keep max distance between me and my pet and foe.

Mind you I'm no expert lock. It's not one of my main 2 classes. But I agree Aff locks are easy to play. Sure Destro locks create much more damage and much more aggro too :). Which gets many destro locks killed in raids I frequent cause they always damage way over the tanks threat cap.

I can't talk about PvP as rarely if ever PvP on my warlock.

I'm not saying your way is bad. i'm just saying it's different to mine. And if it works for you, then good for you :).

Your's ain't bad, but put Haunt at the end. It'll tick much higher.

And the SB/Incinerate thing is personal choice, but Incinerate does a similar amount of damage on a 2.5 second cast time, as opposed to 3 :)
