Treating websites as magazines. I don't remember the details but if it came to pass you'd have to register it as a magazine somewhere depending on how often it's updated and the "chief editor" would be responsible for ALL of the website's content. Including posts from message board's members, entries in guestbooks etc. So, say some moron posts a message insulting the president and you get charged for it.
There might've been more to it but 'twas about a year ago

In France, enabling the immigrants to bring all their families. And then providing them all the basic social welfare. For free.

It was 30 years ago, in the 70's.
Now there is no more employment in the country, because all the companies that could relocate somewhere else left because they were fed up paying huge taxes to feed all those people, and therefore no more money now.

My family used to run a bakery in the countryside, it was a hard job and my father used to work 70 hours a week. We had like 6 months of holiday these last 15 years, before I left home. And sometimes on TV we had coverages about those families, with like 3 wives, 15 children (yes, fifteen), with apartment and everything. For free. And none of them working, sometimes not even speaking french. They had assistants to help them to fill all the forms to get social "help". They earned twice what we used to earn during usual months, and complained sometimes about the lift or the shower not working correctly. Meanwhile in the countryside, all the retired who survived WW2 and helped the country to been rebuilt, who worked hard during the 60's etc, got just enough to survive in wreckings, and in the streets, the new offspring born of those "underpriviledged" families insulting or attacking us, shops keepers, corporate employees etc, for no reason.

I born french from french citizens born themselves from french citizens, and I have been told that I was not really entitled to any social help any longer (I was unemployed at this time), and that I should consider leaving the country.

Here are the French "Human rights".

Not sure if this goes here, but I THINK in MA, it is illegal for women to go sky-diving on wednesdays. I know the law has something to do with women not being able to go sky-diving, but I can't remember which day nor the state.

They have that in the US too, although it's almost never enforced.

While not a government, I blame Wall Street right now for completely screwing the world economy for who knows how long.

The bush administration for trying to get 700 billion dollars to bail out wall street. If its such a massive emergency why didn't you act 1-2 months ago?

On a less serious note, in some states in Australia it is illegal to change a lightbulb unless you are a licensed electrician

It is also illegal in Australia to record TV shows unless they are live (i think). Effectively making VCR's illegal

The LHC project is like $9B, while I am not even sure the $700B of the Bush's plan will save the world, so please, leave the LFC project alone.

The LHC project is from people who are able to design some future for us, while the traders crunch is from people who can only build something for themselves and in the short term only. Not the same kind of authors, not the same kind of benefits for us, and not the same level of failure.

If this crunch is so embarassing for the US, why wouldn't they use some of the money used to build bombs and missiles instead? Is this kind of project more constructive?

I heard in some states in the US, it is illegal to not carry a firearm with you, is this correct?

I am not against the concept of socialism: every community needs some socialism, as you may yourself be in a dire strait at some stage in your life, while being a good guy, productive, responsible etc, and may appreciate a little help, in order to recover and become again something good for the community, but I am against this level of abuse.

The systems are not bad, only the people abusing them are.

Is some professionnal help required as well when you have to dress up the morning in this country?
Let me guess what lobby pushed such law...

There are a few small cities here (US) were you have to carry a firearm, but they are rare.
