Ever looked back at your contribution to the forum?

Anyone else but me ever use the find users thread option on thier profile to look back at the threads they made when first starting on the forum?

Amazine all the stuff I forgot about in threads I made over a year ago, has a nice nostalgia feel to it: seeing names of old users who never post anymore or left and seeing all the old stuff I did that eventually died and was buried by recent topics.

Looking at mine, my oldest threads consisted of mainly Sc2 unit compareisons, pokemon and other kids games, and polls.

Back then, the forum was alive with tons of genuine ideas for new units and mechanics, which has logically decreased with Blizzard getting closer to finalizing Sc2 units. Maybe its the nostalgia, but the forum seemed more alive with ideas back then.

Thoughts?

i was known as the spam king and the god of space junk, and i had more space junk posts then nu,ber 2 3 and 4 combined

the chat killed space junk though, though it finally was ressurected recently

I agree that there were heaps of new ideas from everbody, it was so much fun.

 

I've annoyed.

I've caused laughter.

I've likely been written down in stone if I were to quit now, and come back in 2 years with any remaining members from now knowing who I am.

 

the only good post i mustered up was my sc2f-map-post
which i presume is dead, and now i prepare for teh sequel

 

Nope, all my good stuff went away with the first forum remake

 

I look back at old posts when this site is working, it's nice to see some of the stuff x3
but yeah, threads i often want to see got deleted.

but! there is always tie to make more of a contribution and such :3

 

i often look back in the story and races section, i love that place

 

xD i glance through the lounge and SJ, to see all the stupid, i mean, meaningful posts there

 

Space Junk got massively less posts after the chat was introduced, so now we have to do dumb stuff in the chat where it doesnt get safed

 

there's always the 'save' button =P
then you just save that page onto your comp xD

 

A good number of my original posts were destroyed when the forum was converted. I cannot believe my Planet Eater thread got deleted...

I've looked back every now and again. I remember my first post after my introduction was a long-winded idea about implementing veterancy.

I wish SJ had a separate post count, there are so many fun things I'd like to look back on there

 

One of my first posts was a suggestion to give the Ultralisk the Burrow ability (this was 1.5 years ago, before the Zerg and even Terran announcement). I visualized an ambush devastating a group of Zealots.

It got dismissed as being OP/too silly.

my first post was about giving the interceptor ability to protoss buildings(xcept the pylons) so that you could get one interceptor/building

 

We've had sort of SJ post counter and a bunch of other neat statistics. And notepad.

I don't look at my contribution because there's none.

 

Yes, now I often think about the threads and posts I made when I first joined, but unfortunately, they have been destroyed. Also when I went to search up "color of blood" it was deleted. WTF? Why delete the thread? It's not like we could post in it anymore... Or is it because of my signature...

Anyways back to this thread's topic, yeah I hvae actually done this several times, my first thread ever eventually blossomed into the second largest Mothership thread on this site...

 

my first popular thread to die was a discussion on whether the siege tank was less effective due to the immortal and stalker

By far, my most popular thread is my queen poll/guide thread, having over 12k views and almost 250 posts. Still gets a new post every now and then even though the original post was made 10 months ago
