Facebook: Do you use it?

I'm curious as to how many of you use Facebook.

The reason behind my curiosity is because I'm looking into developing some small Facebook applications that are at least StarCraft related. I merely just want to attempt a simple enough application just to get my feet wet in the Facebook application development process. So if you have any ideas for a SC application, then please feel free to let your idea run wild in this topic.

I don't really use Facebook, but how about something that keeps track of tournaments and such? Having to keep track of brackets and then searching for those videos on youtube really is a pain in the ***.

I am not a fannatic of Facebook, but I do use it a few time a week. Just to see the news about my contacts, and only this.

 

I dont use it a all, dont like those kinda sites.

 

Interesting, I would've thought a lot more people would use it from here. I don't use it either, nor a similar one well-known in Hungary.

So if this would be a project to get you acquainted with developing stuff for Facebook, what's your final goal? Or are you just genuinely interested in it?

 

I check it at least twice a day.. but I'm no addict.

 

I use it several times a day, but mostly just to see what's going on in the lives of people that live in other countries whom I can't text, and people whom I don't text enough. One idea of an application would be to have users select which race they are, and through some sort of starcraft-related activity, go up in the ranks of that race's hierarchy?

 

Being the little social 13 year old I am. I am on facebook, whenever I am on the computer, having several applications open at once. Usually, League of Legends, 5 tabs of internet, ventrillo, and World of Warcraft. Not only does facebook let me "look" like I actually like to talk to most people, but it makes it so I can talk with my girlfriend, organize some LoL (League of Legends) matches with 2 of my mates, or seriously just read a bunch of **** no one cares about. It's a great time consuming website.

 

I use Facebook quite a bit, however it doesn't really require a lot of time to do most things, even applications. You would be better off using AIM or MSN to talk to your gf. Facebook chat is horrible. Though better then myspace chat. (dear god why?)

 

Could you ban Fenix? Or would both Banhammers clashing with such strength shatter the very foundations of this forum?

Perhaps It's best for the world.. not to know.

I checked the poll you made on TL Spartan, and to answer the question you posed there and not here for some reason: No, I don't use FB applications. I find them pointless tbh.

 

But you do use Facebook Mael? You don't want to play any games?

 

Yes I use FB, but I use it to chat, get to talk to people I haven't seen in a while, etc.. not play games. If I feel like playing I'll play 'real' games, like Tales of Monkey Island

 

I don't use it. I have chaotic alignment, and am not complicit with such trends

Chaotic alignment doesn't mean you don't follow trends. Chaotic simply means whatever is expected of you is probably what won't happen.
