Good book, its about a different present where the gov made it so that books are illegal.
Firemen don't fight fires, they burn books.

Look at the plot if you want to get a better understanding

I like it because it was interesting how the protagonist transformed (Guy Montag) during the story.

    What do you guys think?

Definitely one of the better books I've read. I'm a huge fan of dystopias, and this is no exception. I'd place it in my top five classic literature.

Side note, if you liked 451, you'd probably like Anthem by Ayn Rand (if you can get past the writing style).

It's Guy. Gui is the SC tribute.

I am definetly going to agree with Fenix here in singing 451's praise. Another favorite of mine along the same lines is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

A great book. Not literally prophetic, but truth is very hard to discern these days. Lots of truths get covered up. EG the NYT refusing to report on ACORN's corruption.

Yeah, if you need to search for the metaphors in this book, you should give up and go with See Spot Run.

Not my fav book, and has some things i kinda dislike at all, but hell, overall it´s a pretty good book, with a good trama, a good idea and an average narrative.
