Just figured we can step away from the political and religious bull**** and arguing for something nice

What kinds of foods do all of you eat?

Pears, red grapes, bananas are my favorite fruits.
Doritos, Mountain Dew, Crunchies&Pastilles (U.K. exclusive, or I'd be eating those all day) are some of my favorite junk foods :)
    Pizza anytime, anywhere.
Unagi don - barbequed eel rolls, as well as other sushi rolls
vanilla flavored Power Bars (the only ones that don't taste horrible in my opinion)
and....that's all I can think of for now. I'm sure the list is much longer ^_^

Goddamn this thread has already been derailed.
    Thanks Fenix

I mostly eat Sandwhiches so my diet includes lots of bread and meat.
Of course I still eat sald plenty and I enjoy eating soup.

You also can't beat a fresh mango

Most fruits, most vegetable, and I love cheesy stuff or salty things. I especially like noodles and dumplings unless they taste bad.

I eat maybe a meal a day, and that's only cause of work. Last summer vacation, I ate maybe one full sized meal every couple days or so.

But as far as actuall foods go, I never say no to mashed potatoes and gravy, kettle corn style popcorn, and sour cream and onion potatoe chips.

Fenix that isn't healthy at all.. I don't say that I live healthy, but don't you have some kind of problems? Like you can't sleep well, or you feel tired every time? These could mean that your body doesn't stand these conditions..

Well, I eat only a bit of junk food, pizza or hamburgers.. But most of the time I choose self made sandwiches :) I don't eat many fruits... And the biggest problem is that II eat 2 dinners every day :)

Sounds like Fenix is feeding a monkey on his back rather than his stomach...

Ok well I am studying abroad right now, so what I eat now doesn't necessarily reflect what I usually do, but for breakfast I usually eat granola with milk, an apple sometimes

For lunch, I usually eat a sandwich from a deli around town if it's a day that I have class, but otherwise having no class means I wake up around noon and eat "breakfast"

For dinner I usually cook up some sautéed onions with some peppers and chicken, and use some soy sauce and sriracha sauce to give it some personality, so to speak. I get red meat every so often but it's a pain because if you cook it too long it gets tough, so I usually just stick to chicken. I also love pea pods, because you can just throw them in 2 minutes before everything is cooked and they don't need much cooking and taste good when crisp. Basically, it's usually chicken and onions with some sort of vegetables. The thing that changes is the sauces that I make it with (i.e. I might sub in some tomato sauce for the soy + sriracha sauce and have pasta)

I've actually learned some cooking stuff since I've been cooking for myself this semester and don't have a dining hall to fall back on

Breakfast: usually cereal and toast. If I have some left over steak or pizza or whatever I usually eat that.

Lunch: Sandwiches, pizza, burgers (In 'n' Out ftw!) whatever's convenient and cheap.

Dinner: Usually depends, I don't have a set dinner. I pretty much eat what I can find, which is a lot. Or I'll go out and by myself something good. It sucks because I'm a horrible cook and if I'm alone and out of money I have to make do with frozen dinners, AKA crap.

That so called healthy stuff generally isn't as healthy as you'd think. I mean, sure, it's great to stop eating greasy burgers every meal, but switching (Cold turkey especially) to fish isn't always the best. A lot of so called 'natural' fish are farmed. They're allowed to call it natural as long as the fish has a 2x2x2 space to swim freely in, not to mention mercury content and happy stuff like that. Free range chicken is similar. They can pump 'em full of whatever they want as long as the chicken can still get up and move of its own will

As for whole grain, make sure it actually lists what's in it. A lot of supposedly whole grain items are simply dyed.

I'm not saying that you're :no:ing, just make sure you check your labels and stuff out.

I found out yesterday that in 1kg of ham there's like... 0,2kg of actual ham? The numbers are prolly messed but you get the idea and that goes for most meats.

Most of my diet is some combination of bread and cheese. I eat 2-4 meals a day and up to 3 usually contain cheese. I dunno, I just like it ^_^
Usually if I have to get up early I eat 4 times a day. I don't like eating, but if I don't eat and get hungry I get nasty headaches.

    Vegetables and Fruits are great!

I hate overloading with junk food, it's disgusting, I usually decline getting given junk food at school, hence I hate the way people eat so much of it.

I can't really tell all that I am used to eat, as I don't know most of their names in english.
I can just contribute by saying I don't like to buy anything that is already ready to eat (beyond fruits and bread of course), as I like to cook everything by myself. Cooking your own food is definitely the necessary step to health in my opinion (I don't necessarily mean all the time).

I can eat basically everything but mollusk (you know, these things like the snails: I just can't understand how people can eat that).
I don't like eating twice the same thing, I always feel like eating something different.
I don't consider a meal is a complete meal without some meat though.

Reminds me I have to print that menu for the dinner I am organising on Saturday.
