Game Mechanics

I've been playing the game for a month or so, but I haven't completely gotten my game mechanics down. I try to use shortcut keys, but I don't end up using them for everything. I also don't know the best ways to move my units, though I have an idea. Here are some general questions I have:

    - What is the best way to move a group of units along the map at the same speed? (I want to send all troops somewhere, but I don't want my flying units to arrive first) I noticed people click many times at short distances in front of their troops to lead them together, but I don't know how to send them across the map as a unit.
    - How do you engage enemies? I've heard someone mention patrol-move, but in many cases I will attack-move. Or often I will focus fire, or even focus fire and shift click so they all go from one focus to another. Is it better to just move troops and let them engage on their own without attack-move? (ie: with zerglings to surround something before attacking)
    - How do I unselect something from a group hotkey? Sometimes I have all my barracks as a certain number, but my refineries will get into the group somehow and I can't remove them (or train units with the hotkey).
    - how do people usually control big groups of units when new units are constantly coming in from your base. As terran I may have a big group of units and I want to use stim, but if I select all of them, I might have a Ghost mixed in and then I can't use the 'T' hotkey. I usually end up double clicking on a marauder, pressing T, then double clicking a marine and pressing T (seems laborious). Is there an easier way? i would make attack groups, but with new units coming in, I would constantly have to add the units to my groups.
-How do people usually switch back at for between their base and their troops/scout? Do you double click an attack group number? I'm trying to get in the habit of doing that but I usually just click on the mini-map.

-Does anyone have anyone have any helpful game mechanic tips that might not be obvious?

You can hold shift down while doubling clicking different units to include them within the same group.

I don't know how to move all units of different speeds at the same time, however I usually manually do it.

    Dunnue how to explain others.

I just use minimap clicking to go back and forth between armies and base.
