Does anyone use that term.. at all? I'm starting to hear it while I walk on campus more and more... it's getting annoying Damn California slang Anyone else experience something similar and annoying?
Disturbing along with geeky and phail. I actually despise those people without even giving them a chance. I don't hear that at all Hodl. All I hear is crappy English from crappy Hungarians
What's up with bashing Hungarians lately? What did they do anyway? :s As for the msn speak: people who say 'rofl' in real life, without actually laughing, are weird. They could just be acting sarcastic, but if you don't recognize that...
they spwnd kuvasz i dont ever say rofl in rl also i used to say gnarly a lot, my english is more old fashioned than that of my teacher
lol jeffri I'm not bashing them, this was just a one-off slight. You have no idea how bad some people speak it, although this might be the fault of the university and their filtering exam in year 1 rather than the students'.
Really? Apparently people other than here do. Still quite annoying, at least when I hear it in person. Every corner "Gnarly party," "Gnarly accident" I swear, people here use it in almost every casual sentence and various contexts. I guess it's just one of those things you hear too much and it starts to itch on you. PS: Ace huh? That sounds cool. I think I'll try using that today.
I think I've only seen "gnarly" used in KoL, no idea what it even means. I've never heard it said before, but that might have something to do with no one here speaking english on regular basis
Let's see what ones do i use? Well I use gnarly, oh snap, totally tubular, rad, and daaaannnnggg. Yeah really drawing out like that.
I've noticed recently that I only use the term 'awesome' when I'm being scathingly sarcastic. Ex: "Oh hey. I just broke my leg. That's frickin' awesome"
