i've been on this forums for quite a while and i continually see people complaining about children. what those people dont realise (or far worse; do realize) is that children are 0-18 and they insult babies as well as me, so i started this thread so people can think about what they really think about children

In my opinion, children and adults, when it comes to understanding things, are exactly the same. When it comes to learning new things, children are better. When it comes to making decisions based on known information, taking into account the sources of influence, adults are better.

I am not sure what this topic is about, really. Is it about general regard, or, as one of the choices implied, voting rights?

In my opinion, voting rights should be extended to those mentally capable of making informed decisions, restricted from those that can't. Such restrictions would axe quite a large proportion of adults as well as children. The problem there is that an unbiased test for such qualifications has never been made, and if it was, certainly wouldn't be approved of the by the adults that would be disenfranchised by it.

If it is on general regard, I agree that children just don't get enough credit. Of course, online, whatever credit you get is credit you've earned. Unless you're forced to reveal your age, no one can know that you are a child, so the prejudices against children can be avoided. I know that, by the time I was 11, I had reached a level maturity in my presentation that I could pass as adult. Online, presentation is everything.
