Seriously.. its funny how they see a negro shooting people in the head with an ak47 and its fine, but you show them virtual sex and suddenly you're the devil.

I want a game with such a level of violence and immoral content that it stirs up so much controversy far exceeding gaming companies like rockstar. A perfect setting would be in a modern post apocalyptic scene, yeah! Possibly during a fictional world war 3 some time between 2010-2020 where many U.S. citizens and other nation citizens have become refugees due to the advancing collapse of the human super structure caused by this ongoing war.

In a ruined American society, you are free to roam, and cause as much murder and mayhem as you please to the already depressing scenes. I won't settle for just violent acts alone, I want realistic responses to my violent actions. If I shoot a guy in his chest with a shotgun I don't just want to see him bleed and fall to the floor like a rag doll, I want his chest to burst, revealing ravaged organs and protruding rib bones, with a hefty amount of blood and entrails splattered against the wall behind him . . . with every inch of his pain exposed to my ears before he dies violently. When I am mass murdering in the streets I want realistic reactions from my victims, so realistic that you would either feel sorry for them or become astonishingly aroused. I want women, and children to scream as they bear witness to their fallen loved ones. I want to be able to grab someone by the throat, whether it be man, woman, or child, and choke them to death among other satisfying acts of killing. I want walls to burst open if I unload a rocket to them. I want buildings to collapse if I bomb them, the rubble crushing the bones of any poor soul caught in the wake of its destruction. I want to be able to take a Chainsaw and cut someone limb by limb with maximum blood letting results. I want my controlled character to suffer agonizing pain if he takes damage, so realistically that I would almost feel his pain just by watching him or her. Yeah, an ultra violent video game, I wish they would make that kind of malarkey now a'days.

I don't think fallout allows you to kill children directly... I mean you can lead them to a death claw but thats pretty much all you can do.

How so? Every time I shoot one they don't die. I think it needs an Adults only rating for you to be able to do that.

Pulled that one right out of my BUTTACHES! And it's not off-topic, the topics is about video game controversy right? Well just a 2 cent idea for a game that could be really controversial.

I say they make the next grand theft auto an A rated game and go all out. They should just go nuts with it, and just go all out on the content. I'd buy it... Heck I'd buy it online, and pay next day shipping for it. Rockstar with no limits? Could you ask for more?

Well I would imagine you would want them to stay in bussiness right? There is a no way they could turn a profit with an A rated game, and if GTA is there primary source of income you could kiss Rockstar goodbye.

As for whether the fine was corect who knows. Content standards are so screwed up around the world it's anybodies guess if this was fair.

@LordKerwyn: Yeah really *rolls eyes* Parents always got to ruin everyone's fun eh? But on the topic of finance, couldn't rockstar sell the game online and make some good profit?

@Jshep: it would turn out awesome! Imagine the blood and body organ letting! I would be raping hookers by nightfall, and massacring unsuspecting civillians by day.

GTA 4 cost $100,000,000 to make. And from the looks of the numbers has made about $1 Billion of profit, before removing the advertisment costs (which are probably substantial). How much of that profit would you be willing to give up? An AO rating would probably reduce sales by atleast 75% (and this is a really generous estimate I would guess it would be closer to 95%) so would you be willing to give up $750,000,000 for the sake of a more extreme game? If you make that decision as a CEO or any other high ranking official in Rockstar you just gave up your job, and you could be Bill Gates himself and $750 Million is still a lot of money.

Yeah, sounds like money is more to blame then parents then ;) I will relish the day when the motive is turned to Art > Profit.
