Why? I mean, that's your prerogative, but why be proud? That's like saying your proud that you can piss in the bowl most of the time.

I personally hate those plastic 6-pack holders. (Kills birds by strangling them somehow.) Or nearly extinct sea turtles who eat plastic bags... because they look like yellyfish. Sometimes, -read: most of the time- humanity just should be ashamed about themselves.

Well, I don't litter which, looking at sides of the roads around, gives me a little credit.

I don't think I'll watch the show. And as for plants, this week so far I have gotten 7 fruit trees planted, 4 raspberries bushes planted, 6 blue berry planted, a rose bush, 3 cucumbers, 5pumpkin seeds, well I don't need to go on. As you can see I have quit a garden in my backyard now.

You really should. If you have HD: Epic. To bad that the end makes you feel guilty enough to almost kill yourself. -if you are treating the earth really crappy- I also want to see the complete series, but that would be a little to expensive at the moment. -HUGE dvd box collection-

Are we referring to that Planet Earth show that I've seen on Discovery Channel that says BBC in the credits?

Watch Earthilings while you're at it. That thing made me curl up in a fetal position deep inside.

Also, I didn't know about this day. However I never litter, as in never. And this one day won't save Earth so instead of celebrating it with planting and other conventional things why not make a resolution about something that would make a difference. Like not littering, quitting smoking, picking up (others') garbage every now and then, without giving others the impression you're an eccentric collector of course. Or donate to the greens, but that's probably quite unpopular now with the recession fashion sweeping.

It's not so much the 'go out and plant a tree' day people seem to think it is. Rather, it's more of an awareness thing. Yeah, go plant a tree if you want, but more than that, just be mindful with your waste.

Our whole country actually introduced a law recently, that ALL towns MUST have a point where you can put all of your plastic waste. Pretty good imo. Especially since you get rid of half your garbage for free, and they recycle it. Awereness is good, but governments that take this seriously really kick ass.

Yeah that doe look familiar, I've seen that movie several times on cable. As for the one day thing, sure one day isn't going to change the course of Earth, but if that one day will make it last longer then I'm still glad to have that one day to remind every one.

Bonne journée de la Terre! I really just planted me two trees. One in my back yard and one at my school.
