I was just watching the latest Harry Potter, I found myself constantly connecting it to starwars. Mostly towards the end. 1. Draco had the box that was connected between the shop and hogwarts. Sort of like the force and such, when anakin and stuff senses other things. No that was my stupidist example. 2. The most important one was when they came through the box and they killed gandalf. Sort of like when the emperor ordered the clones to kill all the jedi, and then the death eaters went through zapping like 2 people and went to the scene where they burned hagrads shack. It was when the clones killed all the jedi, with the sad music  3. When dumbledore is killed and harry runs to him. It seems like he would scream out NOOOOOOOOoooOOoOooOOOoooOOOOOO Like darth vadar? Or is it just me. 4. They show them talking about the future and such and what harry is going to do. Like anakin kids being split up, and what the future holds. ZZZZZZZZZZ Bed time. I think that was the stupidist connection i've ever made but good night.
I convienced my son to scream out NOOOOOO when dumbledoor was about to die people were not pleased to say the least
Haha, I was just pointing THBP To TROTS The half blood prince and the revenge of the sith. Mostly the NOOOOO At dumbledore. And the betrayel of the magic peeps.
haha good joke Sniper! Edit: What, this isnt a joke? Then its probably the stupiest connection I have ever seen. Stop reading here if you dont want spoilers (also for later movies/books). 1. Yes, stupid example. A "magic" box = Jedisenses? LOL! 2. Gandalf? haha! Ofc. the "evil" will always strike at our heroes, but Dumbledore resembling the Jedis I dont agree on. I think that the scene were the jedis are killed are better compared to the scene in HP7 at the wedding when the ministry falls (new minister for magic is killed), and they get attacked from all directions (the defensive charm falls). 3. I dont understand this one? what do you mean? It is kind of a "nooooo" scene, but in some way it is also obvious that dumbeldore "has to die". You know its harry's fight against Voldemort (yes ron and hermione help, but nothing more); HP7 also ends in a duel, where harry insits on fighting alone. Since the 5th film I was convinced that Dumbledore had to die, I wasnt convinced about that in SW. And for some of you who cant w8 for the last film, I can tell you that Dumbledore's "please Severus", is a please for death, not life. 4. Movies nearly always (books too) end with such things. I agree. Yeah I just read the lsat HP book once more, I just simply love how they made HP6 so I had to read the last books again
Did you just say they killed gandalf? GANDALF? NOOOOOO WHATS HE DOING IN HARRY POTTER?! Christ i knew dumbledor dies but GANDALF TOO?
THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT, TOO! I WAS LIKE HOLY **** WHAT IS GANDOLF DOING IN HP? get back to LotR where you belong @_@
You say "Dumbldore is dead" is a spoiler? Hehe wait for the seventh part. Then you'll see what killing characters really means (I guess writer was bored). But I also don't see connection. Maybe at least with Dumbledor death and jedi death. They were all killed by surprise (or wait for next film!)
Was shown this the other day. Probably a bit of a stronger link than Half Blood Prince and StarWars III...
Watched the youtube video. Great stuff, if it was faked. "Nooooooo! You *****! You *****!" HAHAHAHA totally epic. @ above, At least, Voldemort didn't say," No Harry, I AM your father!"
I lolled at that last line. However, a lot of adventure stories have these elements. There always is a normal guy who gets forced into an adventure. And oh my gosh, what a suprise that there always is a big bad guy, wh eventually gets killed by the "chosen one". Why? Because just about every adventure store after 1944 is based on literature written by Tolkien. (he finished the last book of the main story that year) People liked the format, so it became the new standard. Still, nobody even gets close to the depth Tolkien got. Those who read the Silmarillion know what I mean.
Good point Aurora, good point. But lets change this line a bit: Why? Because just about every Fantasy story after 1944 is based on literature written by Tolkien. I think there is a little difference between adventure and fantasy, but not like it really matters. - and yes, I've read Silmarillion, but its hard work...
