For me, it's a giant trash planet with a city somewhat like Megaton from Fallout 3 (only much bigger and with a space theme) making up the "center" of the planet. "Spam Land" would be its own district; it'd have a bunch of stores that sell different types of spam (MP spam, waffle spam, etc.). "Welcome to Space Junk" would be a ramshackle space port filled with a welcoming party of criminally insane worker bots. "Fenix's Free Wisdom and Humor!" would be a comedy club, and the Picture and Video Gallery would be a street lined with video rental places and convenience stores with joke magazines lining the shelves. And somewhere in this glorious city would be a gigantic tower, with the words "Countdown from-" in neon letters, and two number tickers showing what the original number was and how far we've gotten, with a light ball (like the new year's eve one) dropping a little bit for each number counted. ...First thing to get drawn in my summer portfolio.
I pictured it exactly how it sounds: a bunch of debris floating in a vacuum. I think I like your description better.
Some sort of space cantina. Think the fast food place from Space Balls, but like... a small town/village. That, or Goldshire from World of Warcraft.
any of you watch stargate atlantis? i picture it as the asuran city being bombarded by the ancient armada
