So I finally started to begin playing 1v1 ladder (mostly to learn maps before the game goes live) and was surprised to find myself in division 210 after completing the placement matches. I mean, wow. I don't even think it has been a month since I started 2v2 ladder, and there I went into division 50. Does that mean the amount of people playing has approximately quadrupled? I can't tell for sure because I'm not sure if the number of 2v2 and 1v1 divisions are comparable.
I wouldn't be surprised. As side from the gamestop promo; it seems Blizz is just inviting everyone opted in via their bnet accounts. I know 3 people who got keys from Blizz in the past 2 days including myself.
it's scary to think how many divisions there will be once the game comes out. me = probably division 34,203.
I wonder if we can have multiple IDs...I would try to keep "joining" divisions with trash names (i.e. names I don't want to keep) until Division 666 opened up, and then get in with my main. Then I could tout how I am part of the most evil division on BNet (I like evil. I root for evil. I AM EVIL.)
