    so Pirate Bay got sold, and the new buyers are gonna make it a legitimate place

    obviously nowhere near the amount of people are gonna use that( i think)

    do you think it'll survive? how do you think the new incarnation will be?

    Pirate Bay is going to become 100% legal and legitimate torrent site? Yes, it will die very fast. Perhaps it will survive as a small service for carebears to exchange their photos.

    Time to move on to... mininova?

    I don't see why this thread isn't locked by now, I thought discussing piracy sites etc were against this sites policy.

    Since the RIAA has figured out a legal way to press charges on torrent distribution sites, many of them have started to go legit(ish). There's still a few good ones out there (not gonna name any), but the major players are slowly but surely dying out.
