A couple of days ago, while playing Fallout 3, and I didn't even realize it.

    Freaky.

Everything is fine now, though my computer seems to smell of something burning..

Check if your fans are still working properly then. A program like speedfan could help.

My comp tends to overheat when playing Fallout 3, including making funny cracking noises :S

Everything is rather fine now, just goddamn it I wanna play fallout >: (

I assume you have no next-gen consoles? :/
(Although buying one would probably be cheaper then upgrading your computer...)

Ah the good ol' blue screen of death. I can still picture it because I also got it 10 minutes ago. But my case is that my gaming desktop is made out of old parts and it crashes every 30 minutes on the dot. I've timed it.

Your a lucky bum. I was told once maybe it's more memory I need. I can run XP with 256 megs quite well thanks you very much.

I run warcraft 3 on full settings with that. No lag, as long as I play with no more then 3 others. And my videocard is the ancient geforce2. -and 1.7 gigahertz- Your blue screen of death is probably not caused by your games, unless you seriously push the limits with new games on high settings.

Luck's got nothing to do with it. A BSoD is your computer's way of telling you that it can't work under these conditions, so it won't even try.

Your electronic devices will treat you the way you treat them.
