So is polyethylene, polyvinyl benzene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. Saying plastic doesn't really give much insight into what polytetrafluoroethylene actually is.

    @ jiff. And RNA?

We got a keyboard cleaner in the other day with urea and boric acid in it.

RNA is ribonucleaic-acid, it is half of DNA really, DNA unzips and RNA takes over the other side of the DNA to form chains of proteins for instructions.

I had to take Biology twice. Blææ

actually there is a difference in the t-chromosones, in RNA they are U-chromosones

Does it matter? They are still the link to making the protein chains.

They're not T and U chromosomes, they're nucleotides, thymine and uracil. We only have forty six chromosomes, remember. It'd be odd if a chromosomes was replaced during transcription. The deoxyribose is also replaced with ribose, too, hence ribonucleic acid.

And they form polypeptides, not proteins.

And yes, teflon! I laughed so hard when I first read that. It's like science's own version of how 'pen' in German is 'kugelschreiber'.

I'm not fluent in German, but I think kugelschreiber directly translates to 'ink writer' or something.

As far as I understand, it would actually be more likely for it to be on your mousepad.

It's primary use is on non-stick pans.
