Comics are fun. Lol, Suske en Wiske. Have all albums, rest from, erm, other sources. We need comic stores here. And a place to get manga.

 

Suske en Wiske = Bob et Bobette, in French. I have some albums too, not all the collection.
Did you know there will be a movie (made in Hollywood) about Suske en Wiske ? About one album (I don't remember the title) about a magic flute (flûte in French). Bruce Willis will play the role of Lambic (I don't know the Flemish name of this character).

And there will be an episode of Kuifje (Tintin) ! Made in Hollywood.

I expect the worst ! Like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and, earlier, Dragonball all remake from anime, video games etc ... made in Hollywood suck !

Lambic = Lambic, and it means 'leader'. Ironic humour. He never was a really good leader, and he always abused it when he was chosen to lead anyting. XD

And there already are two movies on them here, but those suck even more then any of the movies you named. The aunt -Sidonia here- is played by a man, Bob and Babette are almost adults and the strong guy -Jerom here- talks like a normal guy. Only Lambic was sort of good.

 

Who says I don't read comics? My copy of Watchmen just arrived from Amazon.

I've been busy reading V, I only read one graphic novel at a time.

Books though....Like...5 right now.

 

I have wanted to read that one since I heard about the movie. They said that it was one of the best comics ever. Almost impossible to make a movie of, since the story is really complex. Sounds like a good comic to read.

The only title I could find that has a flute in it: --de malle mergpijp--. A mergpijp is just a hollow bone, sort of. Malle means weird.
In that episode they show how Jerom became so strong. Strange to make a movie of that. It was more of a side story, not a real Bob and Babette style episode.

@ Aurora : Hollywood will never make a good remake of an anime or a comic. Yes, Spiderman and Batman were good. That's all.
I don't know what the scenarist have in their mind. Do they have crap (sry, I don't like to be impolite, but that's the word I have to use) in their eyes not to make a movie that respects the originals stories. Did they understand the books they read (if they read them) ? Did they understand the animes they watched (if they watched them) ? Sidonie is played by a man ??!! huh ! Bob et Bobette are teenagers ... or maybe adults already ??!! And Jerôme talkes very well, like a literate and civilized person ??!! Wow, I believed this man came from the Prehistoric Time. I maybe didn't understand the book I read at that moment : "Le mol os à moëlle" where there is a kind of bone that Jerôme used to "revive" his mother.
