    Yeah i just found that out actually, gawd - i really feel better when i have to resort to killing a spider.

    Apparently they dont have the nerve thingies. Not in the sense that humans and lots of other animals do.

    Spiders aren't insects. They may still have nerve endings.

    i thought spiders do in fact have nerves, much like their cousins, the lobster

    Even if lobster do feel 'pain' they dont percieve it the same way human beings do. You can tear of Lobsters claw, stick a needle into the wound and then give him something to eat and hell just happily go on with his meal. And yet I could never put live lobster into boiling water.

    Pain isn't created in nerve endings. It is created in the brain. The nerve endings just send signals to the brain instructing it to feel pain.

    Even though insects have no nerve endings, their brains may still create pain feelings in response to other stimuli.

    Burning them is the quickest way to kill them. Nothing like a 300 hundred dollar flamethrower to keep boredem at bay.
