I noticed there isn't any topics about this... so why not?

I myself play a Guitar thanks to the Guitar 10 Course at my high school, which I find a bit ironic because I always said to my elementary music teacher (mandatory K - 6), "I'm never doing anything music related after elementary..."

I really want to go back and apologize.

Besides all the mandatory stuff, from friends I've learned bits and pieces of songs, never all of them...

The main riff for Come As You Are by Nirvana.
The intro and riff for I Am The Night Colour Me Black by Priestess.
The general riff for Iron Man by Black Sabbath.
The like... entire riff for If I Was Your Vampire by Marilyn Manson.
The uh... high pitched part for Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones. Is that a riff even?
The main riff for Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.

What instruments do you guys play, or want to learn?

I'm in my school orchestra playing the cello, and I love it.

The cello has such a nice strong tune to it(The Swan). I'm not the best, but I do know how to fully play the cello.

Nice, I'm like that too with my guitar. I'm not good, but I know it well enough.

I want to learn the piano or drums next.

Used to play the piano, but quit ages age. Still about to do the right hand of The Entertainer though. :D

I'd like to learn either the harmonica or the bagpipes, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Can play a few basic, and I mean really basic tunes on the harmonica, but nothing noteworthy.

    Harmonica or bagpipes?

That'd be actually really sweet, because I've never known anybody that knows or wants to play the bagpipes.

My friend who taught me a lot of those songs is really talented. He plays drums, guitar, harmonica, piano, and I think one other.

It's crazy really how passionate some people are about music.

Yeah my grandpa plays the bagpipes, and used to be part of a pip band, though as a drummer, not a piper, and I've always thought it'd be an awesome instrument to be able to play. That said, it's hard enough to drones droning, yet alone to know what notes to play, how to play each note, getting the breathing co-ordination right, and doing all the flourishes... Seriously... Hard.

Harmonica's are just kinda awesome as well, though I've never been able to get one clean note the way you're supposed to... I just block the rest with my fingers, haha.

I wouldn't even have a clue where to start with the bagpipes, let alone the harmonica.

How are you supposed to play the harmonica anyways?

I like my guitar because it's just hold and pluck/strum.

And god damn, I always have my mouth open like a retard when I play.

    I focus too much.

I also play the clarinet, or at least I used to. I stopped about half a year ago, but I might pick it up again. I have 8 years of experience in various school bands.

I played the flute 4-5 years ago. It was a ton of fun to play, especially with a songbook of Lord of the Rings music that I bought with it. :D

Two clarinets, another guitar, and a flute. With Lord of the Rings... effin' A.

AcE: You have no idea how jazzed up I am to get my own electric because at school in the music room they have two electrics and amps, and I can easily go back and forth from my classical to an electric, playing the same stuff. I thought it would've been a lot different.

I have apicture of my playing with me teeth as well.

    I'm just that hardcore.

Actually it was kind of a bass breakdown moment, so I wasn't so much headbanging as feeling the groove.
