Check this out. I wish I could be part of this research. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=40324508
There's a company out in Utah (USA) that's working on some pretty advanced military grade robotic exoskeletons. The one I was reading about could lift small cars. They can't jump yet though.

Each creature with an exoskeleton, like the crabe, the homard, etc .... is stronger than most of the creatures with an endoskeleton (like the human being). This invention reminds me the robot Sigourney Weaver controled in Alien 2 when she fought against the Alien queen, at the end of the movie. Of course this was more fat than this new invention. The Jap one is more discrete than the US one
Crabs and lobsters are stronger in the sense that they're more durable, not in the sense of being able to lift heavier objects. This 'exoskeleton' on the person is the exact opposite - it is vulnerable but enables the user to lift heavy objects. This is most definitely the first step towards the marine power suit. And we're just in time, too
