I am just curious what you guys think about something that I have been observing for a little while on the news. Intel is to Microsoft as AMD is to ? I am a huge AMD fan, but this is BS. Intel is just been competitive over the market, you cannot blame it for being one, if not the only well known CPU chip on the market today. EU has also done the same thing to Microsoft. What better way to break two of the most popular companies in the world, than with an antitrust? EU = Full of BS
the important thing to keep in mind here is that the EU does not support a free market, but rather a market where new busisnesses can start and become succesfull, this is important to keep in mind. If you do that, these fines appear to be rather fair, though the discussion is still open about if the kind of market the EU has the right one is
This isn't anti-free market, this is anti-monopoly, these fines were very fair by that basis (assuming the accusations were correct) and competition is needed in a free market.
Shouldn't they be working on their own products and plans to coax over PC manufacturers with this opportunity instead of trying to do some massive PR fellatio?
