What always really comes in handy in a strategy game? for quick overview, knowing which way to scroll to go back to your base?

 

No minimap?

its especially annoying during the battles where you are zoomed in so far you can only have 4 units on your screen and no way to find them

 

Excpet the fact that you can zoom out when using the main map, and the battle maps aren't that big you can't keep track of everything. Also, something else only someone who onws the game will know, you have Order units with your Air Lord and while not impossible it is extremely uncommon.

 

What IS this game anyway?

 

lords of magic, old Turn based strategy game. Played it years ago, and was enthralled with it. Played it again a week ago and went meh

 

It was a pretty good game for it's time, though it is kinda dated now.
