So it's spring and I got slightly chubbier than I would want to over the winter. I want to lose some of it for the summer and get myself into usable shape again. Are there people with experience or any useful tips on a casual workout/life style adjustment?

I heard walking (or swimming) is the best as it burns the greatest % of fat compared to juggling or running.

Get a note book write down what you eat and how much calories you consume. Then when you go to work out take that notebook and base your work out around how many calories you need to burn. Eat foods with negative calories to help loose weight. Also cardio in general is a great fat burner, but if your wondering what would burn it the quickest its walking or jogging outside. Not inside on a treadmill, but outside. The reason why I don't recommend treadmills is because your feet make a harder impact while walking outside thus providing a better work out. Martial arts is great for weight loss too.

Move to Mars or the Moon. Then you weigh less there. Or live in space for that zero wright all the time.

    2 main problems.

    (A) Internal organs cease functioning properly.
    (B) Your body will store more of your caloric intake as fat when you eat next.

Swimming is number one. Extremely low impact, high caloric burn, high burn-to-strengthen ratio, increases lung capacity and efficiency of oxygen exchange. In short, no drawbacks.

If swimming ain't your thing (or you don't wanna pay for a pool membership), yoga is also extremely good, just slightly higher impact, and possibly painful at first if

Both tone but don't bulk, so you'll look sexy, but not like a musclehead douchebag. Plus yoga is a totally panty dropper if your frequent the right crowds.

true on both points, but i haven't done that in a long time thankfully, though fastning does help your body every now and then. I would suggest running, when i do leave the house, i run/walk for about an hour or so.

do muscle training exercizes, muscles use more energy then fat, so besides burning fat in the exercises, you will lose more doing normal stuff

No no no, weights and stuff doesn't burn fat really. At least, compared with aerobic exercise.

Yes I am more for the aerobic excercise. I do a bit of weight lifting in the morning so my hands don't grow back completely but I am not looking for a macho look. Just a bit more fitness and perhaps reducing the number of moons that orbit me.

Also frequent saunas. Excess water can manifest itself as extra flesh. Sweating does help.

Plus it's great for the complexion.

I love cycling, but sadly the rear tire's air tube in my bike has a hole in it. Thus I cant ride it til I remember to get it replaced, which I should do soon since the weather is becoming warmer.

See where you can go to use one of these:

Proper technique will work your arms, legs, and upper abs to an extent. IMO there's no better way to exercise than rowing.

Dont need any equipment to loose weight.
A lot of workouts can help you lose weight without any weird pieces of equipment.

    Leap Frog Squats
    Rock Star Hops
    Jump Rope
    Jab and Kick
    There's plenty to choose from.

They key is to do these workouts for an hour a day with only 00:30-1:00 breaks every 15 min. Then eating a good balance of fiber, protein, and limited calorie intake.
