Lost 5 placement matches.. placed into Platinum?

    I finally got around to playing ladder 2v2, and lost all 5 placement games (surrender). I'll admit I actually lost those games whilst trying new BOs and micro.

    Finished my last game, ready to start silver and I got placed in Platinum....

    You sure you lost all five? Maybe you had won one and forgot. Or maybe in some of the 2v2s you played, you left early since you thought it was over, and your teammate ended up coming back and winning for both of you.

    No, Platinum is actually the lowest rank in 2v2.

    Highest rank is Awesomeinium.

    Seriously though, I don't think ranking is based off of wins or losses alones. Prolly counts APM, build orders, counters, that sort of thing.

    I don't know to whom I lost those games to, they were pretty bad to be honest - I was losing because I was trying diff build orders and coming short of their rushes.

    As far as other rankings, I have only been playing non-ranked games so I was unranked for any of the *vs* ladders. Weird.. I've yet to play 2v2 since I posted this thread, so I don't know if I'm in platinum for real or if it bugged out.
